Florida Governor Jeb Bush is finally pursuing a course to save the life of Terri Schiavo. Governor Bush is calling a special session of the Florida legislatureon Monday to pass legislation that he worked on with Florida Speaker of the House Johnnie Byrd. ``Terri's Bill'' would immediately suspend all dehydration and starvation deaths in the state.
LifeNews.com, however is reporting that one man is the greatest obstacle to this happening, Florida Senate President Jim King, the man who controls the state Senate's agenda.
It's obviously important that we contact all state representatives, Senators, and other parties, but it is absolutely critical we put the pressure on Senator King!
Senator James E. "Jim" King, Jr.is the state Senator from Florida's district 8, which covers parts of Duval, Flagler, Nassau, St. Johns, and Volusia counties. Especially if you live in his district, please call him and tell him that he needs to listen to Governor Bush and Speaker Byrd and put this on the agenda tomorrow. Tell him you think this bill needs to be passed ASAP. And call any relatives or friends you have who live in that district to call (or email) him. Right now, he may be the one person with the most power to stop this bill. Let's let him know it needs to get passed. He needs some serious Freeping!

They were all laughing, having fun.
Don Joe, what about his "new mother-in-law"? That is another work in progress. She is "supervising" Terri's death while Michael and Jody do whatever they do.
To: TigersEye
The hospital probably is diverting Terri's food to this wrethced replica of Jabba the Hutt....

Byrd's office (according to a phone call reported by another FReeper) denies that he was ever involved in writing such a bill. At this point, I suppose the details hardly matter as far as Terri's imminent death by dehydration is concerned. What? The bill never existed?

And you people want to know why you cant persuade anyone to do anything. You are rude, offensive and have as much maturity as your average DU member. Didnt your momma teach you that when you lead with your chin, you've already lost the fight.

Maybe they didn't realize it is getting all over the internet about his "conflict of interest" in this killing. Since when is one small, dark corner of Free Republic, all over the internet. I havent seen a real news article on this case in days. All over the internet, in your dreams.

There are too many billions of dollars at stake. If commercial killing is outlawed, there will be a major financial penalty, and these people are NOT about to accept that That is an awful statement. I suppose you have proof to back it up? Billions, yeah right. What is the industry by the way? You kooks are willing to do and say anything. You are on the same level as Joe McCarthy investigating commies under every rock.

I know. As far as the person who is now with Michael Schiavo, this is my opinion: He is a monster of incomprehensible thought. Water seeks it's own level. She is a monster too, you can bet on it.

LifeNews.com, however is reporting that one man is the greatest obstacle to this happening, Florida Senate President Jim King, the man who controls the state Senate's agenda. What specifically, if anything, is Senator King doing to obstruct this?
Or is this only a supposition that he plans to interfere?

Yes It does. Both abortion and euthanasia come out of the same "Enlightenment" philosophy (of French origin of course
GARBAGE usually is) that says that the Bible is not the revelation of God, that man is just another animal and therfore that there is no special sanctitity to human life.
By the way the French were actually a little more humane than what is going on now with the "Enlightenment" death culture. They used to DROWN their "useless eaters" in their "Enlightenment" spawned revolution not STARVE and DEHYDRATE them.

I don't think we really know yet. There's been a lot of conflicting information. Another FReeper called Byrd's office earlier and was told by his assistant the Speaker had not written, nor would be introducing anything about Terri. She did say that he would support such a bill if it was introduced. On the other hand, I just read an Associated Press report on another thread that has quotes from Senator Byrd about how the legislators were discussing the issue in this special session. Several FReepers were tuned into the legislative session today via radio and TV and the fact is nothing about Terri was discussed. All the news about Terri is very confusing today.
