TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.

The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.

Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

Ok. I checked more carefully and the following were returned "due to unrecognized name:"

Gottlieb
Prieguez
Protilla

All the rest were thank-you's and/or confirmations.

so many of my emails returned to me unsendable.Hmmmmmmmmmm any one else having this problem???? Polly & ALL: I had similar problem.....that Post #17...list of Reps & Senators has semi-colons between email addresses.....I must change them to commas to work for me.....perhaps that is your problem as well....try a few & see if that solves it.

Are you e-mailing them individually?

One big mass e-mail to several recipients at once might be rejected as SPAM.

And, the best part is that if he runs in 2008, we can re-cyle our old campaign pins!

LOL, does Cheney have a brother?

I was told originally that we'd need 2/3 vote. That's why it's SOOO important we contact every lawmaker tonight!

We can do it!

Sugestion:
Would it help to have a group of Freepers Monday afternoon, 1:45, at the legislature building with new, pleas of help signs?
Not the usual varied comments, but ones with "ARE YOU THIRSTY?", or "TERRI'S THIRSTY", "A HELLISH WAY TO DIE-THIRST", or anything that may appeal to their consciences as the members fo the legislature enter the building.
Wish there were a fast way to create life-sized spoons to wear on the front of bodies.
Sorry if my isdeas sound dumb, just brainstorming at this late hour-in desperation, anything MUST be tried.
Anyone? Ideas?
As one poster said, WE MUST NOT GIVE UP, A CRITICAL TIME TODAY AND TOMORROW

Isn't it illegal to deny any animal food and or water?

I used the list in Post #53.....send the email to your own Rep and blind copy it to all the others.

You may have to divide the list into several emails if your server will not let you copy to more than 25 email addresses at one time.

Honestly, I don't ever use form letters. They're too long and too complicated.

I try to keep my message SHORT and brief so they get it fast. It's kind of like a resume --- only seen for seconds. Therefore, I "hit and run, short and sweet."

I think you have an EXCELLENT IDEA, Oreolady! Can anyone relay that information to the people at the hospice??

But I bet they'll do it anyway if it's not too far away. (I've never even checked a map to find out.)

Maybe we have some FReepers in Tallahassee??

This is the letter I sent the Senate Pres (who is supposedly against this bill, why, dear L-rd, I would not know...)

Dear President of the FL State Senate,

If you found life precious even if you lost much of your brain's ability, and you nevertheless enjoyed breathing, eating, seeing, hearing music, and being with those who obviously love you, wouldn't it be cruel if someone stopped helping you eat or drink?

Should my grandmother with Alzheimers be starved? Should President Reagan?

This is not the Third Reich.

By the way we care for those who need our care most, we will be known.

Pass the law and connect Terri Schiavo's feeding tube by noon tomorrow. You will be richly rewarded, both in your political career here on earth, and elsewhere, I am sure.

Thank you for your serious consideration.

Yours truly,

HOPE IT HELPS.

URGENT:

Be sure to put this message in the Subject Heading so your intent will be known even if the email isn't read.

Please vote YES on Terri's Bill!
