Don't look too good for the Fish. Especially when the game basically ends after 7 innings when the Yanks have the lead.

Pettitte seems to stagger good performances with bad outings in the playoffs. I'd prefer NOT to have him pitch ANY game 6 (Arizona/Boston).

BTW, Boone is no Ventura or Brosius at third, is he?

Think the Yanks would bring in Rivera with a 5 run lead?

Sori is one of those guys whose strengths are huge, and whose weaknesses are equally huge. His strengths are speed, power, and a decent arm. Weaknesses -- poor plate discipline, spotty fielding. I'd bet that he's doing better at this point in his career than Barry Bonds did at the same point. If he could learn how to read pitches better over the next season or two, he could walk (literally) to the hall of fame.

e-5! 3rd baseman is position 5. 6 is shortstop.

Pettitte's got the biting slider working tonight.

Well has FOX shown ANY stars at the game yet?

They had a phone call from Michael Strahan, and said "congratulations" to him. For what? The Giants stunk up the joint today!

Yep. It seems the best time for him to pitch is when the Yankees have lost the previous game. Each time he wins, and each time the Yanks have won the previous playoff game, he loses!

He's easier on the eyes, but that's about it.

Not unless he needs work.

Certainly not out of necessity. Only if they want him to have a little work with a day off tomorrow. I don't think he would come in unless it is a "save" situation.

Don't get cocky. They HAD to win tonight, if they do go on to win I predict a swoon in Miami and three straight by the Fish.

The Skanks win a lot but they have NEVER been champions, champions have class.

"I'd bet that he's doing better at this point in his career than Barry Bonds did at the same point."

I find it hard to believe Bonds was flailing away at pitches two-feet outside at any time in his career. Perhaps there are Freepers in the Oak/SF Bay area that could address any such Bonds/Soriano similarities.

Soriano MUST learn patience soon, or else Herr Steinbrenner will be shipping him out despite his gaudy regular season numbers.

Agreed.......I don't know why they keep him on the air.

".......remember, it's where the ball passes the plate, not where the catcher catches it......"

He's the worst.

Joey baby, you're the guy nasty nicknames and innuendos. I am but a long time Yankee fan who spent a lot of time at Yankee Stadium as a ute in NewYawk.

I noticed that , too. It's like, "Congrats for getting beat by a team whose quarterback was 9 for 23." --What a stinko game!

I wish the Yankees would hire Don Mattingly as batting coach next season. He could teach Soriano about patience at the plate.
