Some observers feel that George W. Bush -- who in his first three years as president has proved to be the most instinctively pro-Israel president ever -- is poised for an impressive showing among Jewish voters in 2004. Realistically, while Bush will no doubt receive a somewhat higher Jewish vote total than he did in 2000, history tells us that the Democratic candidate, whomever he may be, will score a decisive majority among American Jews.

For the life of me, I will NEVER understand this! I've decided that Jews who support democrats fall under the six out of ten rule. (These days, six out of ten people are idiots - and that's a fact :)).

Any cool, rational analysis would convince Jews to avoid the Democrats.
Any cool, rational analysis would convince Blacks to avoid the Democrats.

My opinion is that today the majority of American Jews are Jewish by ethnicity and heritage only.

In other words they are non-observant as far as Judiam is concerned, having abandoned it for the 'religion' of secular humanism.

It's about time conservatives started telling the truth about the Jewish vote.

First, most Jews support higher taxes on themselves, racial quotas, and more welfare programs because they are scared sh-tless that gentiles will believe the old canard that Jews are stingy.

Second, Jews are ultra-liberal on abortion, seperation of church and state, and homosexuality because these are things Christians oppose. Jewish support for unrestricted abortion is almost manic. Even some Orthodox Jews, like Joe Lieberman, support abortion on demand.

Third, Jews make up no more than two percent of the population. Had Bush won every Jewish vote in New York, he still would've lost the state. Even in Florida, Jews only make up 4% of the electorate. Thus, the Republican preoccupation with the voting habits of the overwhelmingly liberal Jewish population is a complete waste of time and energy. Republicans ought to focus on keeping their conservative base and winning over more whites and Hispanics.

Jews also tend to support Democrats because they are wealthy and in recent years, the upper middle class (the so-called professionals) has become more and more dependent on government and hence, more likely to vote Democratic.
