"I don't know what game you are watching...but the Marlins are kickin ass."They're eeking out a 3-2 lead on bunts, walks, and bloops. That's "kickin' ass"??
The Yanks are hung-over still and within striking distance, bro...

I can't believe the Cubs of all teams scored so many runs on this team, and the Yankees can only get two runs. The Cubs had to be in the bottom half of NL teams offensively.

Well, "confused" is a bit different than "stunned." Actually they look like a team who's sleep-walking literally and figuratively, don't they? Thanks -- that's the phrase I was reaching for.

As a die-hard Cub fan I agree...
Nothing happened in the NLCS to make me dislike the Marlins, in fact just the opposite. Impressive team and MUCH better than I thought. Hope they win the series.

Marlins are a good ballclub. Pudge is the best catcher since Bench, and they have a great pitching staff.
First pitch fly. Dorkloserjerk. We might as well have Goatboy as the batboy.
Matter of fact, wonder what Bartman is up to?
Or Dusty, the true villian of the piece.

There's a story going around (not sure if true, but it's been out there for years) that David Wells drank heavily the night before his perfect game at Yankee Stadium. Heck, that's what he originally claimed in his book! When word of that got out, his hangover mysteriously became a headache in the final version.

but the Marlins are kickin ass. What's the score of this game in your Twilight Zone? .....My scoreboard says 3 - 2 Marlins, each team with 7 hits.
To: TrappedInLiberalHell
Dontrelle looks a lot like Bubba from Forrest Gump. That would have been something if the Red Sox had made it to the World Series. A manager who sounds like Gump and a pitcher who looks like his best friend.

I know he was hungover the home start he had before the perfect game (against the Tigers). He was practically falling off the mound.
Did well, got the win.

Read about Grover Cleveland Alexander.
He drank a lot more than Boomer. Lots more.
