Are you the only member of the Red Sox Nation fan pulling for the Yanks? Yes, he is. You can trust me on this one.

They are F-L-A-T. I wonder if any team has lost game 1 of three consecutive postseason series before. Looks somewhat likely tonight.

I could care less who's interested, or what kind of ratings this series pulls. My team is in the WS yet again, and that's enough. You know, the really interesting thing about most sports fans, myself included, is that we mostly don't pick the teams we root for. My father was a Red Sox fan, so I became a Red Sox fan. Most of us become fans because of our Dads or because we grew up watching the Giants play on TV. To say we actually choose the teams we root for is kind of a joke.
On an emotional level, we have to be a Red Sox fan or a Yankees fan or a Cubs fan.
However, there's no one, on an emotional level, who is a Marlin's fan....

UU has a .839 OPS vs NyY current roster:

There is no balk with no runners on base. As far as I know, anyway. The umpire can rule a 'ball', though.

"I very nearly posted a photo of my wife's inspiration, Bettie Page, but the Yanks are losing and she is in a bad mood..."Does that mean the bad boy must be disciplined again tonight, Lav? ;-)

"its the reaction of the crowd during this song, look at the faces as the camera pans, I see it all the time when I watch the yankee games. The looks on those faces is why the Dems are killing themselves running against the war on terror."
As I said to a left-wing friend of mine last night "When politics become pathology, you are destroyed. He didn't get what I meant, but we had a century of radical left-wing ideologies performing auto-genocide already.
Our Democrats are cut from the same cloth of madness and hate.

That's what I meant, basically. He can rule a "no pitch".

The bottom line is that Red Sox and Cub fans don't want their teams to win. They SAY they do, but deep down they don't - because then they'd be like any other team.
They crave the attention that the "lovable loser" tag brings.

To: Mr. Mojo
Heck no! My entire family is- everyone I know is. Do you really think we want a team not even 15 years old beating the team that has been our nemisis for over 80 years? Go Yankees!

No, my Bettie just likes to dress up.
The only discipline I want to see is on television from the Yankee hitters. ;)

Looks like the Marlins are about to pick up an insurance run, and I don't mean Geico.
