A guy throw one broken bat at one baserunner, and everybody wants to crucify him. Sheesh.

OK, OK. So they have won nearly a quarter all World Series played. And the do have the highest payroll in the game. Their owner is a little, uh, high strung, and they alway seem to be playing in the Series. But, they have provided some exiciting moments over the last few years, and even exhibited some class. Jeter, Williams, Rivera, Torre...all class guys. Why can't we all just, get along?

Interesting. As they introduce the Marlins the "evil empire" Imperial March from Star Wars is playing, and as they Yankees are introduced the rebel theme is playing. I guess they're in New York tonight?

Did Bob Sheppard forget to introduce Karim Garcia?

What happened there?! Was that a big boo from the crowd? did he miss the words...was it the part about our flag still there? That was the oddest thing...

I noticed that too. He introduced Wells, then seemed to remember that he forgot the number 9 batter. Sheppard is so dignified, though. I'm sure Karim doesn't mind at all. What I WOULD like to know is what happened in the middle of the anthem.

The booing was when he was introduced. He did a good job especially since it was a capella.

I can only guess that maybe someone ran out onto the fied or something. He didn't seem to make a mistake -- he paused.
