Amazing he won as many games as stinking drunk he was. And at such a high percentage (.642)
To: lavrenti; Cathryn Crawford
*has to laugh at Cathryn's 'maybe he's drunk' explanation*
How much has he pitched this game so far?

Maybe- I tend to think your right. It was a judgement call. A wrong one base on Pedro's season history. But it was also gutsy, and at the time I agreed with the call by Grady to let him stay in. Whatever. We will remember that game forever. The game the Red Sox won but lost.

No, we're all men here.

I wonder if a manager has ever told a batter to allow himself to be struck out. Such as a lousy bunter down 0-2 in the count with a double-play a strong possibility.

"Giambimbo."Speaking of bimbos, ever see that shampoo commercial of Giambi and that bevy of beauties? (He leaves without ANY of them) Is he in a rush to get to the batting cages??
To: lavrenti
Wells is starting to lose it....
Wonder how long they're going to wait before they pull him.

It would make more sense to just have him take 3 strikes.

Pierre drilled. Oh no, will he charge the maound? No, but if he did he'd get there in 0.01 seconds.

I find it interesting there are only 240 some odd posts so far at this stage of the game. I dont think it bodes well for fox's ratings Concur
just under 500 in the 7th
I do beleive Game 7 NyY/BoSox had 2,500+

Grover's victory angered the Yankees so much they slaughtered the AL and the Cards the following year.

I like this new owner the Red Sox have. He's gonna get Steinbrenner's Yankees a few times. You can say goodbye to that silly curse in the near future and the BoSox will win 2 to 3 WS in the next 10 years.
To: lavrenti
Even if Pierre were a nutball (like Manny), Wells has about 100 pound on him, so he'd probably think twice before charging him.
To: Mr. Mojo
Heck -- Boomer has nothing this inning and still the Marlin can't hit him!
To: TrappedInLiberalHell
Wells has control problems tonight.
Considering he's only walked two, that says a lot about what a good pitcher he is.
I got tanked up with him and some other guys at this place in the East Village when he was with the Tigers. Man, he can pile them back.

I could care less who's interested, or what kind of ratings this series pulls. My team is in the WS yet again, and that's enough. Those were exactly my sediments last year.
