" Can't watch on teevee for two reasons: Fox announcers, and pinstripes."

Come now. The Pinstripers represent the American League -- the Bosox brethren. Heck, even Pedro wished the Yanks his best. UNLESS he was full of crap ;-)

I heard that Zimm says he's quitting after this year because of Steinbrenner.

Zim joins the millions of people who despise Steinbrenner.

Lumbering isn't the word for this prison road work crew from Del Valle masquerading as a baseball team. The RED Sox looked like the guys I drove by in Austin spraying asphalt and raking gravel

I have expected Grady standing on top of the dugout wearing mirror shades, a Stetson, chomping a cigar, cradling a 30.06 in his arms during their at-bats.

I've always favored the National League. In fact, I've never lived in an American League town.

Well, I'll indulge you tonight - how about that? ;-)

Stuck with the Marlins, it seems. Who's favored?

I'm not sure, but the Marlins look pretty good.

I don't believe in Curses. The Yanks came raging back and beat us. Incredible win for New York. A crushing defeat for Boston (funny how negative Boston fans remember our defeats rather than some of our spectacular victories despite having only a sixth of the New York TV market and money flow) It was a great series and a great game- one for the ages. The Sox have nothing to be ashamed about. I root for the Yanks as they are in my league and nothing more.

"Steinbrenner blood pressure: 270/130 rising"

Thus far I would say Boone and Giambi's game 6 feats vs. Boston are loooong forgotten. He's already on the phone with Dodger brass about moving Giambi to LA and Boone to.... AA Columbus.

Addendum: Soriano will be bought a one-way ticket back to Japan.

Why doesn't Soriano just strike out like he usually does?

Looking very bad for the Yankees. The Marlins seem to be able to score at will.

Boston should learn how to sac bunt with guys on 1st and 2nd.

Can you say Kaz Matsui? He's a second baseman, I think.

Thing is..and I am being 100% honest...I am both a Marlins and Yanks fan. They are my fave NL-AL teams. So this is the series I wanted. It is the series that should have happened in 1997...but we got Cleveland. But I decided loooooong ago...the Marlins were gonna be it for me all the way this year.

Yankees are -220 and the Fish are +180 to win the series. In other words, the Yanks are a pretty big favorite.

Yanks are playing exactly like they have in most of their losses this year. That sounds like it should be obvious, but some teams can look pretty good in most of their wins and losses. The Yankees aren't one of them this year. That's why they have so few comeback victories this year when trailing by 3+ runs (game 7 ALCS being a huge exception).

No, I didn't. I am quoting the guys on FOX. Maybe it was lifetime. I just know he hit more guys than Pedro.

Wrong. Until this season, Clemens had 136 hit batsman, Pedro 99. But Clemens has pitched over a decade longer than Martinez, so Pedro has many more hit batsmen per innings pitched.
