With Republicans like Jeb, we don't need Democrats to do us in.
Outrageous, you say? How can a mere judge hold more power than the governor, you say? Reality, I say. It's been that way for a while now, while everybody was sleeping. We're no longer a Republic, we are ruled by the Philosopher-Kings of the Judiciary.

In the event Terri doesn't survive this, I hope his statement above can be used against him at his murder trial.

A wrongful death lawsuit seems like a sure winner from here (in fact, a necessity to prevent this from setting a nationwide precedent), but I'd rather she not die (duh).

Great idea...someone is going to have to do just this sort of thing...risk all to save this woman.

I believe if more people would...it would turn around just like it ultimately did in Klamath Falls in 2001.

There allegedly (I think definitely) a video showing Terri responding to a phone caller who is telling her that she will die if. She is said to rise up and have other clearly non-PVS responses.

THAT is the video I will post at one of my domains if someone shoots it to me.

FReepmail me if you have something.

IF true---not everything out of FL being true---it should be on the news, with an interview of the priest confirming that she swallowed the wafer.
And if he was threatened by Schiavo with arrest, I certainly hope he took him up on it. This sort of thing gets media attention and that's what we need there.

I have to believe there is at least one priest who would be happy to go to jail for such a good cause?

Do any freepers have actual contact with Terri's family? Can someone out there get in touch with them and propose this?

If they deny it...they are violating her 1st amendment rights and it seems a court order could be made on that basis from the federal level.

Surprising admission from Bay 9

Excerpt:

Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the governor's office says Bush’s lawyers are looking for a way to force doctors to resume feeding Terri.

Oh, good grief. He's "looking for a way">? Well, how about simply ordering it?

Be a man, dammit! Let the chips fall where they may. Let the lawyers argue it out after you stop her from being killed!

Wake up, Bushie! Time is NOT on your side in this one. When she's gone, so are your presidential ambitions. You'll be the disgrace of the "Party of Lincoln". Lincoln, you'll recall, for all his faults, had NO qualms about standing up to the lawyers AND the judges.

This is like a plumber standing there, plunger in hand, furiously wracking his brains for "a way" to stop the toilet from overflowing.

A wrongful death lawsuit seems like a sure winner from here (in fact, a necessity to prevent this from setting a nationwide precedent), but I'd rather she not die (duh).

Probably the best thing to do would be to have a doctor declare that her swallowing is evidence that while she may have been(*) in a permanent vegetative state, she is no longer. Thus, it would be possible to overrule Judge Greer's order on a temporary on the basis not because it was wrongly given(*), but because facts had materially changed since that time.

(*) Trial courts always make correct decisions based on the evidence before them. Anything that would show otherwise is erroneous. Therefore, anything that would cause the trial-court's decisions to be incorrect must be consistent with the trial court's decision having been a correct interpretation of the evidence then available.

MS and his cohorts actually let the Schindlers doctors go in there? I am hoping for a miracle for this sweet woman.

a monsigneur came to give Terri communion, with family present. Terri actually ATE SOME OF THE WAFER and swallowed it! Then the husband told the priest that if he tried to give her the wine, he would be arrested

WAIT.......ISN'T THIS A VIOLATION OF A RELIGOUS FREEDOM???????? can some of you attorneys look into that one???????????????

Better yet, how about simply declaring that the judge's order shall not be construed to prohibit it? There must be at least one doctor who would be willing to obey his Hippocratic Oath if allowed to do so.

On other fronts, Monsignor Thaddeus Malanowski, who has been Terri's spiritual provider for over 3 years, was told he may not administer to her the sacrament of Holy Communion. Monsignor was informed by police at Hospice that he would be arrested if he tried to administer the Catholic woman the sacrament.

In a statement to the press, Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos stated that the reason for this was that he didn't want "anyone to do something that would cause Terri distress".

Um, Georgie, I hate to break this to you, but you notice that squishy thing under your Birkenstock?

That's right. You just stepped on your dick. Bigtime.

It seems, George, that you just admitted that Terri is not a "vegetable."

Oops.

Now somebody get this New Evidence to the governor STAT!

What about someone, perhaps a priest, going to see Terri and giving her as much water as he can and willingly getting arrested? Even a few ounces of water would buy Terri some time, and the publicity that would arise from a priest's being arrested for giving water to a dying woman just may turn this situation around.

it is ALWAYS appropriate to give " a cup of cold water in the name of Jesus"........I SAY......GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
