Videotapes are easier to spot as fakes because there are noticeable changes you can look for as far as lighting, shadow, and other things go. Audio is a little bit trickier, but in either case the CIA and NSA has more than enough expertise to figure it out.

you are right but I don't think our President is underestimating him...the liberal, democRATS and hollywood elite, yes...
To: Brian S
I've got a better idea Bin Laden....why don't you come out of hiding and fight like a man? You've got all your little followers brainwashed into doing your dirty work, so why don't you quit hiding like a scared little rat?
To: Peach
You mean the Rats will have this pricks face (OBL) on a advertisement next fall stating "I urge you not to support GWB"??

well hello again! just another reason the money should NOT be a loan! the quicker we stabilize iraq, ie; their own government, their own police, their own military... the quicker we can move on to syria or saudi arabia! its a little hard to ask or tell the rest of the world to forgive saddam's old loans at the same time were asking for a 50% payback ......think big picture

These are the words of a desperate man who now realizes he is in a battle he can't win. 2 years ago Osama bin Hidin was daring us to come and get him in Afghanistann and he said we would die like cowards, now OBL is asking us to leave as he sounds very much like Ted Kennedy saying that Bush lied to us and the world.
This OBL rant is a sure sign we are kicking their ass

That would be him. Word in a recent issue of US News and World Report has it that he's also playing host to members of Gamaa al-Islamiyyah, whose leader Rifa Ahmed Taha is a co-signatory of bin Laden's 1998 declaration of war.

I talked to my son today and he said that he and 7 other soldiers that were on a big bus traveling from Kuwait to Doha were approached by mid-easterners in a car that tried to run them off the road. He said that the mideasterners got in front of them and on several occasions would speed up and suddenly slow down. Then it pulled on the side of them and tried to run them off the road until my son and the other soldiers drew their weapons and then the mideasterns veered off.
I asked him what if that had been suicide bombers. He said that they could not do anything unless one of them were actually attacked or hurt. Then and only then can they defend themselves.

This is going to be a far longer war than most Americans understand. I have stated, over and over and over, starting two years ago, both at FR and to my friends, "This war against terrorism will last at least thirty years." Let everybody know this, and believe it!

From the
AP story:
Addressing U.S. troops in Iraq, the speaker said: "Your blood will be spilled so the White House gang gets richer and the arms dealers with them, as well as the large companies involved."This sounds like either Osama bin-Laden or Dennis Kuchinich.

With guys like Kennedy on bin Laden's side it's no wonder he feels encouraged Right after 9/11, the Bin Laden family was spirited out of the Boston area.

it's obvious OBL is keeping up with the news and is very good at manipulating public opinion. We can expect the Rats to use this for personal gain Binnie, Binnie..

I am sure that old tapes can be found in the Middle East that were prepared in Afghanistan by OBL in 1990-91, most of which threatened the USA for its attack on Iraq. As I have noted time and again, there were scores of Bin Ladin exhortations taped in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia and Sudan that received wide distribution between 1981 and 1996.
To my knowledge, no one has ever asked Tenet if the CIA ever bothered to collect OBL tapes, or even bothers to collect the tapes of other Islamist radicals that are circulating today. Tenet would most likely say that such a chore is NSA's job -- and vice versa.
