President Bush and First Lady, Laura left California yesterday, and arrived at Tokyos Haneda airport (at around 3:00 am, Pacific time), where they were greeted by U.S. Ambassador Howard Baker. The President met with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi for talks on subjects such as international trade and the reconstruction of Iraq. The President and First Lady were dinner guests at the Akasaka State Guest House, where they dined on Japanese steak and Yakatori chicken, sitting on the floor, but were allowed to dangle their legs through a hole in the floor!
Japan is only the first stop in a whirlwind 9 day tour of 6 Asian countries and Australia, and including the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday. There are LOTS of pictures, many of which could have been selected as the best, (and which I have tried to assemble in some sort of orderly fashion), so enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Rewarding a close ally in the war on terrorism, Bush said on Sunday his government would launch negotiations with Thailand on a comprehensive free trade agreement. Bush also said he had designated Thailand a major non-NATO ally, clearing the way for Thailand to acquire more U.S. military equipment.

That sweeping blue skirt is outstanding for Condi.
I gotta wonder if these women coordinate their colors in advance. Laura's secretary calls Mrs. Whoever Prime Minister's secretary and they figure out who is going to wear which color.

Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra with Bush. Bush has ruled out signing a non-aggression pact with North Korea, but said he would explore other options for reassuring Pyongyang that the United States has no plans to attack.

Snort! In that picture of the Kinaree, half human-half bird, the President looks like he's saying, "Now, what in the world is this? You ever see anything like this Laura?!"
LOL!

I find this next one amusing. Who'd have thought?

Apparently Microsoft issued an Internet Explorer update in the midst of my posting, which crashed my IE, effecting the delay.
Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra (L) in Bangkok, October 19, 2003. Differences emerged on Saturday ahead of an Asia-Pacific summit as the United States pressed the group to take a bigger role in fighting terror while other members wanted to retain an emphasis on trade.
This is a Yahoo caption (as are they all): The US economy is red-hot, economists say, with confirmation of the trend expected in official growth figures later this month.

Thank you to both for posting all the wonderful pictures from this weekend. It's amazing that the First Couple still look so refreshed after traveling so much.
God bless them and continue to keep them safe.

I've thought that too. They've been travelling many miles every day, and sleeping on Air Force 1, and yet look completely refreshed......
Must be the prayers, eh?

It's gotta be.
I can hardly make it through some weeks with school and work and everything else and not even look as half as good as they do.
On a totally different note, I just got my confirmation on a conference that I will be attending this weekend. It's a conservative conference put on by the Young America's Foundation. These are some of the speakers they have scheduled: Michael Reagan, Author and national radio talk show host
Ron Robinson, President of Young America's Foundation
Melanie Morgan, San Francisco's KSFO radio talk show host
Ward Connerly, Equal Opportunity Advocate
Peter Robinson, Author and Reagan administration speechwriter
Floyd Brown, Author, speaker, activist and Executive Director of Young America's Foundation
Lionel Chetwynd, Award-winning screenwriter, director and producer
Tom McClintock, California Senator

To some, what I write may seem ludicrous, but to those who know how words have power for good and evil, that in the tongue lies the power of life and death, according to God's Word, I post this with the desire that praying people will take seriously the issue and break all these curses, in Jesus' Name, that were spoken over our wonderful, godly President.
"Bush has been trapped in a clay pot and tossed into a river in northern Thailand -- or at least his spirit has after being cursed by hundreds of farmers protesting US agriculture policy."

I think this is a very pretty dress the First Lady has chosen. And I love it even more because it is without a bow! :)
