Would you want to "live" like this woman has?
Not Me!
If eating through a tube in my stomach is the best I can do,. It's time to move on.

A better idea would be for you to "move on".

Yes, I would want live as that woman has, as oppose to dying of dehydration. Course now, if I were YOU, I might reconsider.

Well, Terri Schindler Schiavo does want to live. Would you kill her, even though she does? If you do, you may find more like-minded people at the
h**p://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/
But before you go, have a look at this:
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=35077 "...he was holding a cell phone to Terri's ear as she listened intently to the speaker, propped in her jerry-chair at about a 30-degree angle. Suddenly she sat up straight and tried to get out of her chair, despite her weak legs and muscles that were slack from lack of exercise.
His daughter's response stunned Schindler, who grabbed the phone and asked, "My God, what did you tell her?"
The speaker said he had warned, 'If you don't get up and get out of there, you're going to die there.'..."
Just because you wouldn't want to live that way doesn't mean that Terri Schiavo should be deprived of her chance. You are assuming that Terris condition cannot be improved. She has been denied rehabilitative therapy. Contrary to what you've been fed by the media, she's not 'comatose.' She is not a 'vegetable.' She's brain-damaged, but conscious and aware [well, they probably are doping her now, that they're starving/dehydrating her to death]. Read my article story that G Gordon Liddy read on the air yesterday:
http://www.aim.org/publications/briefings/2003/oct14.html Given the fact that you are willing to take such a strong stand on such a vital issue without being properly informed, you are indeed a strong candidate for the DU. Go with my blessing...

FWIW, my mother in law was on a feeding tube for over a year. She had ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and her ability to speak and eventually swallow were taken.
She did let it be well known that she did not want to be put on a respirator when her ability to breath on her own was lost. The feeding tube did give her a good year of watching her grandchildren grow. Obviously, these are very different situations...just wanted to point out that sometimes life support measures are well worthwhile.

I AM RESPONDING: "That may be YOUR choice and Michael Schiavo's choice, but it is NOT TERRI'S choice and NOT HER PARENTS' choice!"
I AM RESPONDING: "Michael Schiavo has apparently committed FRAUD when he accepted $700,000 for Terri's rehab and immediately REFUSED to give her ANY THERAPY!!!!!"
I AM RESPONDING: "Does anyone know how in the world Michael Schiavo got GUARDIANSHIP instead of her LIFE-LONG LOVING PARENTS??????? I undersatnd Michael had been married to Terri for ONLY 3 YEARS at the time of her mysterious beating, strangulation and potassium injection by her money-sucking husband Michael Schiavo "incident" and she had told friends/family she was contemplating divorce. WHY would HE get guardianship?...just because he was her husband?

I have read many of your posts and have come to the conclusion that you are ignorant. Just my opinion though. Very heartless.
