FREEP JEB BUSH for TERRI SCHINDLER-SCHIAVO
http://www.Terrisfight.org | Friday, 10-17-03 | floriduh voter

Posted on 10/17/2003 2:59:38 PM PDT by freeparoundtheclock

FREEPERS, I have taken a break from Terri's 24/7 Vigil to ask for your participation in the next phase of trying to save Terri's life while we wait for good news.

I have not received the Governor's Itinerary for the following week yet from myflorida.com.

We are asking Floridians and out-of-staters to freep the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee.

If you need ideas for signs, it's basically urging Governor Bush to issue an executive order to stay Terri's starvation.

At this time, the Florida Supremes are reviewing filings today by Terri's counsel.

We need northern Florida to freep Jeb Bush STAT whether he's there or not.

Finally, if anyone receives Jeb's schedule in their e-newsletter, please post it here so we can hold Terri vigils in whatever town Jeb is in.

Sorry, I can't be more informative at this time. I'm sunburn and tired and this request has come from Terri's team. Thank you in advance. Floriduh Voter

Then you need to should have to put that in writing!

Even if Terri had put in writing a wish to be kept alive, and had the foresight to leave such written statement in the hands of someone other than her husband, does anyone doubt that Judge Greer would have found that statements Terri is claimed to have made after writing out her wishes superceded them?

The Schindler's legal tab must be enormous. Has a trust been set up?

Am I the only one who thinks it is obscene that you are lounging in "Chaise lounges" being "fed" and basically having a party on the hospital lawn, while that young woman is starving to death?!

So what if you end up in the "pokey"?! For the Love of Jesus, get arrested!! Give judge Greer something to do with hundreds of people being arrested and bit by cop dogs!

Jesus said that the greatest friend was one willing to lay down their cushy life for another....Teri may be saved if a few would start causing an upset and stop talking about "catwoman suits"....are you for real?!

DECISION BY MIDNIGHT from the Supremes per Bay News 9. Would this be the notorious SCOFLA?? Praying for wisdom for all involved.

Worldnet Daily is reporting that the family will not file with the Florida Supreme Court.

It looks very bleak at this point. Terri's only hope at this point is Jeb. I'm heading over to the vigil.

My guess is that the writ case would've been transferred to Judge Greer. In our county, all cases that relate to the original case go back to the same judge; criminal cases involving the same defendant also go back to the original judge. I would assume Florida courts have the same or similar rules.

Because the writ itself wasn't heard, I expect a dismissal from the Florida Supremes. I understand why they'd think they could file it in Tallahassee--it's the state capitol & Jeb's the gov--but because this case involves Terri, the proper jurisdiction is Pinellas (that's where Terri is), so it wasn't surprising the case was dismissed at the circuit court level. They tried to do an end-around Judge Greer by filing in a different county and it didn't work. <p?I'd be curious to see if their pleadings in the writ address why this writ should be heard in Tallahasse rather than Pinellas. If it didn't, they were too cute by half and they're lucky the circuit court judge in Tallahassee didn't tear their heads off.

Yes, I would want live as that woman has, as oppose to dying of dehydration. Course now, if I were YOU, I might reconsider.

"Judges don't like to second-guess each other."

Appeals courts exist only to decide matters of law rather than fact. Even if Terri were to somehow get up the strength to march herself into the appeals court room, appeals court procedure would dicatate that Judge Greer's finding that she's comatose outweigh any direct observation of her current state. To be sure, if that were somehow to happen many appeals court judges might be moved to pend procedures a little bit, but it would be a stretch.

I think the biggest problem in this case is that Terri's lawyers expected Judge Greer to act in good faith. Had they started earlier in working to discredit him, they might have had some chance on appeals. Unfortunately, the more times Judge Greer ignored the evidence, the stronger the fact-finding record became that Terri is permanently comatose.

Perhaps one thing that needs to change would be a rule allowing either party in a court case to demand that a case remanded on appeal be heard by a judge other than the one who heard the original case. Having dozens of cases all going before the same judge (until the "fact-finding" record becomes unbelievably strong) is crazy.

"Would you want to "live" like this woman has? Not Me!"

Well, Terri Schindler Schiavo does want to live. Would you kill her, even though she does? If you do, you may find more like-minded people at the
h**p://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/

But before you go, have a look at this:

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=35077

"...he was holding a cell phone to Terri's ear as she listened intently to the speaker, propped in her jerry-chair at about a 30-degree angle. Suddenly she sat up straight and tried to get out of her chair, despite her weak legs and muscles that were slack from lack of exercise.

His daughter's response stunned Schindler, who grabbed the phone and asked, "My God, what did you tell her?"

The speaker said he had warned, 'If you don't get up and get out of there, you're going to die there.'..."

Just because you wouldn't want to live that way doesn't mean that Terri Schiavo should be deprived of her chance. You are assuming that Terris condition cannot be improved. She has been denied rehabilitative therapy. Contrary to what you've been fed by the media, she's not 'comatose.' She is not a 'vegetable.' She's brain-damaged, but conscious and aware [well, they probably are doping her now, that they're starving/dehydrating her to death]. Read my article story that G Gordon Liddy read on the air yesterday:
http://www.aim.org/publications/briefings/2003/oct14.html

Given the fact that you are willing to take such a strong stand on such a vital issue without being properly informed, you are indeed a strong candidate for the DU. Go with my blessing...

Of course, I'd much rather live with parents who were trying to actually rehabilitate me, as opposed to being forbidden visitors while caged in a hospice while my spouse tried to kill me.

Seems to me those rules are a bit of a problem. Too bad Terri's lawyers couldn't have focused earlier on somehow forcing the case to get routed to someone other than Judge Greer. Seems to me that the system as it exists is ripe for corruption.

Who are we kidding? This is the court that ordered selected recounts of Gore strongholds in the election of 2000 until it was told by the U.S. Supreme Court that such recounts had to be uniform throughout FL.

This Court has its daggers on Bush and is not about to give him a round-about victory here.

Besides, nearly all of these judges were appointed by the super-popular Democrat Gov. Lawton Chiles.

"There is a heavy police presence with police dogs and doing so would land us in the pokey for kidnapping and trespassing charges among others."

I do realise you are committed and wish to help BUT get arrested!!
DO something stop just talking about it. How many of you are there? you must outnumber the police. I cannot imaging they will be very motivated to stop you. While they are tied up arresting some, others will get past.

GO IN AND GET HER OUT

Other doctors, seeing the videos

Have any doctors who have actually seen Teri, not just a video, agreed that she is not in a permanent vegative state?
