FREEPERS, I have taken a break from Terri's 24/7 Vigil to ask for your participation in the next phase of trying to save Terri's life while we wait for good news.
I have not received the Governor's Itinerary for the following week yet from myflorida.com.
We are asking Floridians and out-of-staters to freep the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee.
If you need ideas for signs, it's basically urging Governor Bush to issue an executive order to stay Terri's starvation.
At this time, the Florida Supremes are reviewing filings today by Terri's counsel.
We need northern Florida to freep Jeb Bush STAT whether he's there or not.
Finally, if anyone receives Jeb's schedule in their e-newsletter, please post it here so we can hold Terri vigils in whatever town Jeb is in.
Sorry, I can't be more informative at this time. I'm sunburn and tired and this request has come from Terri's team. Thank you in advance. Floriduh Voter

This case is monumental in its ramifications. I agree 100% with what you posted. I want this woman saved, as she IS an onnocent person caught up in events that she has no control over - the only thing I am asking for, searching for, hoping for, is a solution that both saves this woman AND has POSITIVE ramifications. I fear the negative once, and want to avoid it at all costs.
I don't see where I'm in disagreement with anyone on this thread, really...

I want to see this woman saved as much as anyone, but I won't sacrifice my liberties and freedoms, and everyone else's, to do so... No one's asked you to do that, just as no one's asked Bushie to sacrifice his job to save "this woman."
Like him, you're both driven by fear. In your case, fear of an imaginary loss of freedoms if we enforce freedoms, and in his case, fear of losing his job if he does his job.
Both fears seem quite illogical, perhaps bordering on the pathlogical.

This is why I'm still here too. I'm looking for the same info.

No, not really. You are grasping at straw. I think TexasForever's post (#395) sums up my feelings quite well. If you believe differently than that, let me know...

Imagine if George W. Greer ran a criminal court! He could be a modern-day Dr. Mengele. You say that as if it would be a bad thing. I mean, after all, Dr. Mengele obeyed the law, didn't he?

Then somebody needs to knock on the appropriate doors tonight and wake people up to get signatures.

This issue means alot to me and it doesn't appear to mean much to you. If you want her to die simply say so.
I did not make a threat. I made a promise. If you, after being in an accident (or attempted murder) are denied any posibility of living and still do then I will kill you, if you put it in writing first asking me to do so.
She has been denied the right to life.

Thanks. FWIW, it helps me to know that there's someone else hanging around to find out how she's doing. Wish we had freeparoundtheclock's cell number (or anyone else's that there). Watching, waiting, and praying.

leads to a destruction of our constitutional republic piece by piece, until all we are left with is tyranny. What the court has done here is leading to destruction of our constitutional republic and must be reversed.
Terri Schiavo is being deprived of her right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness guaranteed under the Constitution of the United States by this unconstitutional court order.
Governor Jeb Bush not only has the right to intervene here, it is his duty to do so, anything less from Bush makes him a partner in this unconstitutional criminal decision by Judge Greer. Also his brother George W. Bush can also intervene in this matter because this Judge has violated the Constitution of the United States with his unconstitutional ruling.

Hey, you and I are in complete agreement, Eaker. Read post #395 - it sums up my feeling quite well, and I don't think those feeling make me out to be the monster some here feel I am.
Narses and I started out a discussion that I thought was going well. I somehow inadvertently offended her, and she launched into personal attacks - I tried to nake it right, initially, but it didn't stop. The yawns were for her, and her alone. Certainly not for Terri or the Schindlers... I hope you understand. :0)

I really think that DU is very active on these threads. While there may be a few compassionate "Liberals" most of them are heavily into this abortion/euthanasia Death Culture under the moniker "the right to choose".

What the court has done here is leading to destruction of our constitutional republic and must be reversed. And I agree. I just want to make sure we are on solid ground when and if we get it reversed.

Governor Jeb Bush not only has the right to intervene here, Under what authority? I would assume separation of powers extend to the statehouses as well. It is WRONG to allow this woman to die in this manner but no president or governor is an autocrat. What would motivate this governor to allow her to die if he could legally save her. He is not stupid enough to think he will win votes by not doing what he could legally do to save her is he? If we want to lower this to politics it is clear to me that the politically smart move on his part would be to use whatever power he legally has to stop the process.

Well, the problem I have is simple - waht is to stop someone from deciding that what I say is "Vile Filth", and censoring or punishing me for it, jsut because what I said was not politically correct? THe problem is definign "vile filth" - who decides? See the problem? What's to prevent that from happening to you?
The same thing that prevents a corrupt tinhorn judge from summarily declaring you unfit to live, denying you any defense, and refusing to disqualify himself. That's what.
So, you see, you haven't much to worry about at all, right? We're all perfectly safe.
