FREEP JEB BUSH for TERRI SCHINDLER-SCHIAVO
http://www.Terrisfight.org | Friday, 10-17-03 | floriduh voter

Posted on 10/17/2003 2:59:38 PM PDT by freeparoundtheclock

FREEPERS, I have taken a break from Terri's 24/7 Vigil to ask for your participation in the next phase of trying to save Terri's life while we wait for good news.

I have not received the Governor's Itinerary for the following week yet from myflorida.com.

We are asking Floridians and out-of-staters to freep the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee.

If you need ideas for signs, it's basically urging Governor Bush to issue an executive order to stay Terri's starvation.

At this time, the Florida Supremes are reviewing filings today by Terri's counsel.

We need northern Florida to freep Jeb Bush STAT whether he's there or not.

Finally, if anyone receives Jeb's schedule in their e-newsletter, please post it here so we can hold Terri vigils in whatever town Jeb is in.

Sorry, I can't be more informative at this time. I'm sunburn and tired and this request has come from Terri's team. Thank you in advance. Floriduh Voter

This thread is defining you as a person.

Do you want this to be your definition?

SCOFLA is a bastion of appointees of the late liberal Lawton Chiles, FL's most successful and popular (FOR SOME REASON) politician of the last half of the 20th Century.

Can that federal judge stay Terri's execution until he hears the case?

I agree, Chad doesn't. I pointed out that Florida law protects Terri. He demanded a citation. I provided it and the text. He then demand that I explain the RELEVANCE of that law. He has played the "look at me, look at me" game all over this thread.

Ya know, Eaker - is there some kind of disagreement you and I are having? Are you really that upset that you would threaten in this manner just because I'm choosing to ignore a poster that's doing nothing but launching personal attacks?

It's defined you as someone who obviously hates it when someone ignores another poster because of personal attacks. That says more about you than me.

That is my opinion.

That would be an ideal solution, I think.

The State Supreme Court said it would issue a decision more than an hour ago. I am not surprised that the State Court in FL again failed Terri.

The federal judge last week was the clintoid Lazzara. Can't the federal judge issue an order now to reinstall the feeding tube and wait on his writ of certiorari?

And, as I stated to you, I just wanted to know what your thinking was, so we could discuss it. You took that personally, for some reason, and immediately launched into personal attacks.

So, can we, or can we not, discuss this issue without namecalling?

THAT ought to be enough to authorize the chief law enforcement officer of the state of Florida to intervene

I agree wholeheartedly. There are so many aspects to the case that warrant a closer look that it boggles the mind that we are at this point, with Terri starving and dehydrating as we speak.

My contention was that a most basic argument over the protection of Terri's rights could be made, completely bypassing state statutes regarding Michael Sciavo's guardianship. It's such a basic argument, that I'm sure it's too powerful a one to make. It would lead to all sorts of implications against to 'right-to-die' movement. Instead, the state has decided that it is better to ignore their own constitution.

She already has the tube out. This is the timeline that needs to be worried about. I don't know enough about the legal end. I'm a 'go get info' person.

I know his papers are in.

Does anyone have an update on either Terri's condition or the SCOFLA decision? I heard earlier that something would be in about midnite and now it's about 1:15 AM.

Chad this is the logical conclusion of the "right to die" campaign. It has fulfilled the prediction that the "right to die" would someday be translated into the "obligation to die". That day has arrived. Once euthanasia is classified as a legitimate "medical" procedure it will become the procedure of choice by the managed care industry. This is a serious issue and this case will be used as precedent across the country.

This is not a case of an individual making it known that they did not want heroic measures used to sustain life prior to the event. This is a case of the legal system agreeing with the husband that she is a financial burden on both him and the "system". This case is monumental in its ramifications.

True, but between 1775 and 1783 there was no Constitution, no Republic, etc...

the question should be - What would SAmual Adams have done when he was restricted by Constitutional Laws?

That's an absurd paradox. So absurd, in fact, that it doesn't even qualify as a paradox. It's just a word game.

Imagine that. Samuel Adams being restricted by Constitutional Laws -- from enforcing Constitutional Laws.

Thanks for the laugh. It's good to lighten the atmosphere a tad at times like this.

When I talk about Micheal especially paying for MURDER by either God's methods or the State's I am talking about the ORIGINAL crime that led to the one curently in progress.
If you have read ALL the threads about this case like I have for the past three days you would know that at least one doctor believes that STRANGUALTION is the reason that Terri is in the state she is currently in. If that is true than this is a 13 year continuing FIRST DEGREE MURDER.

This is not the judge I'm referring to.

>>>Can't the federal judge issue an order now to reinstall the feeding tube and wait on his writ of certiorari?

This part is over my head. I don't know all the papers that were sent. I do know he was waiting for some type of response...well, I guess to the papers?

And while she is being murdered you argue that it is OK because we wouldn't want to do anything that might harm "our Republic". And you lack of concern for your fellow man is obvious. And pitiable

"We had to destroy the republic to save it."
