FREEPERS, I have taken a break from Terri's 24/7 Vigil to ask for your participation in the next phase of trying to save Terri's life while we wait for good news.
I have not received the Governor's Itinerary for the following week yet from myflorida.com.
We are asking Floridians and out-of-staters to freep the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee.
If you need ideas for signs, it's basically urging Governor Bush to issue an executive order to stay Terri's starvation.
At this time, the Florida Supremes are reviewing filings today by Terri's counsel.
We need northern Florida to freep Jeb Bush STAT whether he's there or not.
Finally, if anyone receives Jeb's schedule in their e-newsletter, please post it here so we can hold Terri vigils in whatever town Jeb is in.
Sorry, I can't be more informative at this time. I'm sunburn and tired and this request has come from Terri's team. Thank you in advance. Floriduh Voter

Why would I want to have that post pulled? Did it violate any posting guidelines? Tell me, don-o, what was wrong with what I said? Is it an emotional thing?

Sometimes executive overrides have been used for good; sometimes for evil. They are certainly not, however, unprecedented (at least at the national level--I don't know about Florida in particular). It's mind boggling that this gutless wonder is so monumentally spineless that he's refusing to take a stand even though he's a lame duck!
And this pathetic excuse for a "man" wants to run the whole damn country?
Not with my vote, he won't. And I'll be doing everything I can to persuade as many others as I can to join me in "boycotting bush on election day."
The man is an utter disgrace.

"What you are calling for is for a state law by the national government to be overturned because you don't agree with it."
You need to learn to read here buckwheat. State laws OPPOSE and CRIMINALIZE the abuse and neglect of this women. What I am calling for is the enforcement of that law. Such an action by either state or federal authorities is fully supported by constitutional and natural law. That you misrepresent what I said shows your inability to read and reason.

Wrong again. Nazi Germany supported mercy killing, that is what this is. Your wordwarbling and dishonesty demonstrates your character quite well though.

To be honest, though, all hopes of legal intervention rest on the shoulders of those who breached Terri's rights in the first place. I think you are right.
But the Reds and Nazis were completely "legal", weren't they?

If you were a corrupt judge who ordered a wheelchair bound disabled woman pushed down the stairs, THEN you'd be using the correct analogy, and then YES you'd be engaged in a criminal conspiracy to violate her rights. Suppose the judge ordered that a wheel-chair-bound person be transported and left at 1943 Twelfth Street and left there; the judge further stated that the facility there was suitable for care of the person and that he had reached that conclusion on the basis of reading a listing for XYZ Rehabilitation in the telephone book. Suppose further that, in fact, the location in question was a burned-out (unheated) building, the phone book in question was five years old, and the temperature outside was 20 below. Would that render the judge's order illegal?
If the judge was at all reasonable, he would upon discovering that the building was no longer suitable, order that the person be moved somewhere else. But suppose the judge instead reviews the evidence of the building's changed status and states that it is still the home of XYZ Rehabilitation. Under legal practice, a judge's finding of fact generally trumps any observations anyone else might make. So legally, the judge wouldn't be ordering the person to be left in an abandoned building; he'd be ordering that the person be left in a building which he found housed XYZ Rehabilitation.
Unfortunately, I suspect Felos and Greer have probably worked pretty hard to cover themselves with this sort of chicanery. My only hope is that they made some little mistake that will be their undoing.

I know. I have such bad character. Loving the country I live in, fought for, and nearly died for, and putting that nation above any one individual makes me such a bad person. Not wanting to twist the laws for the benefit one, to the possible detriment of everyone else makes me such a bad person.
I guess I should just go out to the barn and hang myself in shame. I'm soooo bad.

"Maybe they are, but will those legal theories of yours stop with just this case, or will they come back to bite us in the ass later?"
How mouth? Having a Governor enforce the law against neglecting (to the point of death) disabled women would "bite us in the ass later", how? Having a President use his Federal authority to save the life of a disabled women being starved to death would "bite us in the ass later", how? Go ahead, be the big mouth and show us.

If the facts were as you state them and made known to the judge, yes.

A federal judge filed the papers to take this case. Greer didn't respond. Nor will he during this weekend. Monday may be too late.

Well, namecaller, explain, if you will, what federal authority President Bush has that would allow him to decide that he can throw a STATE judge's order out because he finds it immoral. I'd REALLY love to see this alleged "Federal Authority"...
If you REALLY want to save Terri, you need to try a LOT harder than that.

I don't know how that connection got made, other than one I was brainstorming as a possibility a few nights ago. Jerger & Centonze Insurance company was formed in 2001. The principal and mailing address is the place where Schiavo & Centonze live. The address is 2807 Marrie Ct., Clearwater, FL 33761. Richard Jerger is an officer/director of the company, as is Michael Schiavo. Jodi Centonze is not listed as a director or officer at all.
It has been proposed on the 1st Terri monster thread that this is nothing more than a shell corporation for Schiavo to hide assets. The company is inactive according to the Fla. Dept. of State, Div. of Corp. is concerned. Richard Jerger (or one of the Jergers, there's several of them) used to have an insurance company selling insurance for mobile home properties. That company was later sold off and merged with another.
I am not sure what kind of insurance Jerger & Centonze issues, because it's hard to find any more public records on the company. The other night I was just getting a little tired and a few things started to blurb in my confused head. I made a statement wondering if there were a connection between the old malpractice insurance company that seemed untraceable, and Michael's company. It was a late night blurt out what -if scenario. I'm afraid I was misunderstood by someone that I was posting it as fact, when in reality I was only wondering out loud if there could be a connection. To my knowledge , the connection in fact hasn't been made yet. If someone else does have proof of the connections between Schiavo and the malpractice insurance company, that would be great! It would have to be fraud of some type I think. Have I answered your question?
