FREEP JEB BUSH for TERRI SCHINDLER-SCHIAVO
http://www.Terrisfight.org | Friday, 10-17-03 | floriduh voter

Posted on 10/17/2003 2:59:38 PM PDT by freeparoundtheclock

FREEPERS, I have taken a break from Terri's 24/7 Vigil to ask for your participation in the next phase of trying to save Terri's life while we wait for good news.

I have not received the Governor's Itinerary for the following week yet from myflorida.com.

We are asking Floridians and out-of-staters to freep the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee.

If you need ideas for signs, it's basically urging Governor Bush to issue an executive order to stay Terri's starvation.

At this time, the Florida Supremes are reviewing filings today by Terri's counsel.

We need northern Florida to freep Jeb Bush STAT whether he's there or not.

Finally, if anyone receives Jeb's schedule in their e-newsletter, please post it here so we can hold Terri vigils in whatever town Jeb is in.

Sorry, I can't be more informative at this time. I'm sunburn and tired and this request has come from Terri's team. Thank you in advance. Floriduh Voter

I am going to call our right to life and see if we can get together a protest in my state capitol, to bring attention to this. Is anyone else up for it? I am willing to go without food until she is saved. Is anyone else?

There is a heavy police presence with police dogs and doing so would land us in the pokey for kidnapping and trespassing charges among others.

This is an ominous warning of the future and should scare the beegeebies out of ALL of us - the police are defending murder of American citizens. Are they wearing their jackboots? My dad was a cop and he da*m sure would have refused to participate. Every cop I knew growing up would have refused.

Storming the doors is not an option. There is a heavy police presence with police dogs and

Storming the door is always an option.

The "storming" should be done by a coalition of all religious leaders of this God forsaken nation.

Who mostly prefer to talk the talk.

Terri's death, sadly is a marker on the once free republic's demise.

Lord have mercy.

You know, what I don't understand is even if Bush did an end-run around them that wasn't on the up and up "legally" to save her - the majority of the entire COUNTRY would rally around Jeb as a hero. Seems like he'd have his ear to the political ground if nothing else. But, he shouldn't have to be told to pull a John Wayne and just do what he knows to be right. There is a higher power than lawless laws made by backwards liberal judges. Who was it that said "If this be the law, then the law is an ass"

This is what puzzles me about this.

Why is this all about courts and prayer vigil?

Is there not a man in the whole state of Flprida with balls enough to at least TRY to actually do someting?

America = a nation of excellent Germans.

Jeb done said, "Not it."

"First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out --
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the communists
and I did not speak out --
because I was not a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out --
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me --
and there was no one left to speak out for me."
~~Pastor Martin Niemoller
(victim of the Nazis)

Is there anything we can learn from this?
When they came for the Catholics?
When they came for the Baptists?
When they came for the fundamentalists?
When they came for the agnostics?
When they came for the physically disabled?
When they came for the mentally disabled?

Just something for all of us to think about -- is this picture larger than we currently see it?

Bob Schindler told me that prior to toward the end of this case he really believed that the legal system was fair and just, and what was morally correct and right would win. The family has had one hell of an education.

We are out there for hours a day, in the rain, the heat, the cold night. We don't leave for any reason and folks are helping us out of the goodness of their heart. WE ONLY USE THE CHAIRS AND CHAISE LOUNGES IF WE STAY ALL NIGHT. All day long, there are press conferences and we stand behind Terri's spokespersons holding our signs, morning, noon and night.

There is nothing ironic regarding that we all must eat and sit down once in awhile. We are all human and still need to rest, sleep and eat so that we can maintain the vigil. You just don't get it.

People have also given up vacation days and personal days to be at Terri's vigils at Hospice. We are spending less time with our families who need us too.

I will not be posting back to you again so don't waste your time trying to make light of what we've been doing by posting back to me.

Is it true, freep, that an appeal is before the Florida Supremes and that a ruling is expected at midnight?

Talk is cheap. Why don't you come to the vigil if you're so "concerned"?

If anything I have said in the threads has offended anyone, I beg forgiveness.

I certainly appreciate and respect the sacrifice of the ones standing vigil and in prayer at the hospice.

Can't think of a nice thing to say about the Governeror, right now.

And he could, but the coward wouldn't. Create a legal ground such as a new law and DO IT

Yeah. Governors have the authority to just say, "Hey! Here's a new law! Problem solved!".

Try actually thinking instead of just 'feeling', k? Then, come up with something Jeb can actually do...

Kindness of strangers. Too tired and sunburn to tell you about the media from Chile, South America. The radio station with 22 feeds, Bay News 9, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX. Many of us have been interviewed repeatedly by media and have been on television. Public awareness has increased. I don't have to defend what I'm doing to people I've never even heard of before. You could be a Felos Fellow.

If you don't have the will to come to Terri's Vigil site, why should I give you the courtesy of a response? The chairs and chaise lounges are for the all-nighters. Would you have us sleep on the grass with the ants? LOL

Bob Schindler told me that prior to toward the end of this case he really believed that the legal system was fair and just, and what was morally correct and right would win. The family has had one hell of an education.

Indeed, so have a lot of people.

I think, though, that perhaps too much focus has been put upon euthenasia-related laws, and not enough on laws and rules of judicial procedure. The fact is, it doesn't really matter what the laws say if a judge is willing to make up his own rules and can act as "gatekeeper" for all matters relating to a case.

My suspicion is that rules which were put in place to prevent "judge shopping" have instead made judge shopping more difficult for honest attourneys but far more profitable for dishonest ones. Perhaps these rules need to be revisited.

Godamighty.

Our Founding Fathers would laugh us to scorn off this current abomination.

What can he DO, Chad?

As Governor, he can easily create a plan to notify the local authority who are guarding the death chamber to stand down when he sends in a rescue team to take Terri out.

You think the Chief of Police does not recognize the Governor's voice?

Some day, before we lose all our freedom, I hope that someone with power will think outside the box.

F.B.I. already has my address.
