She will die because no one will be allowed to feed her. If you did that to an infant or a paraplegic it would be murder.

Several weeks ago, a dog was found alive in NJ, its muzzle taped shut with duct tape. According to NJ.com

"CARNEYS POINT TWP. -- The dog was left to die, but in the cruelest way possible: Its muzzle and nose were taped shut by strip after strip of black duct tape so it could not eat, breathe or drink.

"It was so horrible, you just can't believe it," said Bill Hanby, animal and cruelty investigator for the Lower Alloways Creek Township Police Department. "This is the worst cruelty case I've seen in my life (and) I've been doing this about 10 years."

"That dog had a painful death," Hanby said. "That's why we want to find this person who did it."

How ironic that starving a dog is "the worst cruelty case", while starving a human is "huane".

But, for you, it's two.

For me, it is probably many more... defense, military, education, privacy, gun control, abortion, religion, etc.

You are fortunate that it is that simple. For me, I must look at the entire candidate and then vote to the best of my ability.

If you can equate one decision from a court to Nazism that my friend is fanatical and far reaching at best.

I merely stated a fact. If you can dispute that fact without changing the subject, go ahead.

Dog-Functional, breathing member of society that needs no assistance to keep said animal alive.

Terri- Hooked to feeding tubes, treatment, drugs, cannot get out of bed, vegetable, soils in a pan that is emptied every 2-3 hours.

Now analyze that and you tell me if most in here are not being hypocritical because I GUARUNTEE you this there is VERY FEW if NONE on this site that would allow the above to continue if they were in the same predicament.

If this were you yourself lying on that bed would you?

You stated no facts comparing the death of one to nazism.

Again
U.S. renedered court decision does NOT = 1943 Nazi Germany

Do you deny there is not a philisophical connection? The nihilism that overtook Germany didn't happen overnight.

I'll post this here, too: my EMail just sent to the Governor's office (jeb.bush@myflorida.com):

To The Honorable Governor Bush;

Though I currently reside in North Carolina, I lived 33 of my 41 years in the Sunshine State and wish to make a suggestion that may be available to you as a means of assisting Mrs. Schiavo.

The Florida Statutes under chapter 252 provide the Governor with a wide range of powers available via Executive Order. Most of these deal with handling widespread calamity or disaster. However, there is no requirement relating to the size or scope of such a disaster, only that you make the declaration that a threat exists that will impact the health or welfare of at least one of Florida's citizens.

Let me quote from 252.311:

"The Legislature finds and declares that the state is vulnerable to a wide range of emergencies, including natural, technological, and manmade disasters, all of which threaten the life, health, and safety of its people; ..."

The Statute permits you to mobilize health care resources in a declared emergency:

"The Governor shall employ such measures and give such directions to the Department of Health and the Agency for Health Care Administration as may be reasonably necessary for the purpose of securing compliance with the provisions of ss. 252.31-252.90 or with the findings or recommendations of such agency of health by reason of conditions arising from emergencies or threats of emergency."

I ask you, then, to declare a "minor" State of Emergency that imminently threatens the life of Mrs. Schiavo in order to permit the resources to be mustered that would keep her alive.

Yes, this would be an extraordinary step to take: but I believe that this is an extraordinary situation perpetrated by one man and one judge in an attempt to take away the life of one of your state's citizens against the wishes of blood relatives and family. The only reason the husband is being permitted to have standing in court has to do with a marriage contract -- that he himself has so obviously and blatantly broken.

Please act quickly. Thank you and God bless you.

Respectfully submitted,

I did not. I merely stated an historical fact.

I never stated this misguided court decision = 1943 Nazi Germany.

Do you deny the the Nazis began the process which culminated in the Holocaust by devaluing human life and legalizing euthenasia?

I do agree but there is one difference. The public was not armed. The people could not fight. Now do you think a U.S. citizen would allow this? Let alone one Texan??

LOL

If that is all you took from that then you will never get it and are probably the person I speak of that is hypocritical in that if it were you on that bed you would beg your family to pull the plug.

How ironic that starving a dog is "the worst cruelty case", while starving a human is "huane".

It is also ironic that a governor would demand anyone that does this to a dog be prosecuted, but willingly allows someone to do this to a human being. Jeb Bush had better act soon or he will seal his political fate for all time. Whatever he does will never be forgotten.

Slippery slope my white arse, there's naught but a long drop before us and too many lemmings rushing headlong for the edge.

Prayers for Terri and her family that God will strengthen them while the minions of evil surround and assail them.

By no means to I disagree with you, or your reasons for voting the way you do. When we go to the voting booth, we all have our morals and core beliefs to answer to. If we all believed the same way, life sure would be boring. I just try to articulate my beliefs to the best of my ability and leave it to others to assimilate my points into their beliefs or not to, according to their own choice. I try never to force my views on others. To rip off Fox News, "I post, you decide" LOL :)
