Bad windstorm outside right now, and the lights are flickering. .....Looks like I'm going to have to make a pre-emptive strike and turn on the generator.

I think the key moment of the game will be Wakefield's first batter. If the batter gets a hit, that will inspire the Yankees. If the batter makes an out, it will deflate the Yankees.

But what do I know?

Well... you certainly don't know the starting pitcher for the Bosox...

Thank you for reminding us why the BoSox and the Braves are the only team that all New York fan (Yanks and Mets) hate.

These two teams are the only team?

Everybody hates the Yankees, don't they? (Because they're good). And the Mets are not even worth the breath it takes to mention their name.

To: Peace will be here soon
The pivotal moment will be when some Baw-ston drunk in a rhinestone drugstore cowboy outfit leaps out and runs onto the field in jubilation, when after leading 3-0 in the bottom of the 9th, Pedro strikes out a Yankee with the bases loaded. Except that it will have been the second out, and a rattled Pedro then gives up a game winning homer.

Deserved karma for the ridiculous Cowboy crap from Bostonians who don't even know where milk comes from.

LOL. I got a kick out of watching the media coverage behind enemy lines as it were. Mr. Mew's rooting for the Sox, though. He'll be grumpy if they lose. He really dislikes the Yanks.

Geez, the game hasn't started yet and I'm already behind in the thread. BTW, which RedSox fan caused that water main break in the Bronx today?

I didn't say Wakefield would be starting. Forgot to mention, for your benefit, that I predict Wakefield in relief. It's almost a given on the MLB.com Red Sox and Yankees boards, so I didn't think to mention it.

You are getting mighty good with the camera. Whoa.

Tough nubs for the Cubs. I hope Sox win, I'm starting to enjoy baseball, and would like to watch the World Series.

Wait. You are a New Yorker rooting for the SOX?

Could be a Mets fan. They don't like the Yankees.

Hey, I know where milk comes from...from the dairy section of my supermarket, of course. Where else would it come from? What do think we are up here in Beantown? Stupid or something?

After last Saturdays rumble, Clemens praised the 72 year-old Zimmer for having more energy then most 40 year-olds.

Well, Clemens is 40 years-old and has pitched about 225 innings this season. He gave it everything he had during his last two starts.

I don't think the Clemens will last 5 innings, the Yanks will lose 7 to 4 and Pedro will pitch good enough to win.
