Then the judge drew us all back into "Oz" by asking, "Does Terri have a brain?"

It's apparent that judge is in need of one.

He mentioned yet again that asking for a ham sandwich would prove Terri should live. Only the Cowardly Lion would be so afraid of reduced capacity and the inability to eat a sandwich by himself!

This guy's a complete effing moron or deliberately evil patch of scum. There are many, many thousands of people who live on total parenteral nutrition that is infused intravenously (not in a tube to the stomach as in Terri's case) and NEVER ask for a ham sandwich. For the most part, they don't have to worry about being classed as not worthy of living for not being able to eat a ham sandwich because they would be able to tell such a twit to P.U.A.R. and, if necessary, take up arms to defend their lives. The only people interested in doing this for Terri are precisely the people the "guardian" is trying to keep at arm's length. Gee, one wonders what could be motivating him so strongly to get her dead. Could it be the possibility of a more full recovery and regaining some ability to communicate in an unambiguous fashion?

Here's an interesting sentence:

The husband's attorney's final stance was that allowing Terri to continue to live "would be bad public policy." He held it would be an abuse of legal discretion to let Terri continue.

Yes, in other words, this person should die because to kill her would be good public policy even though she's not committed any capital offense, or even tried to do so, as someone else is suspected of having done.

"The Judge asked the husband's attorney if the doctor promoting Terri's death was someone the court could trust. The answer was affirmative based on academic research and that the doctor in question had studied every person who has ever come out of a PVS state."

I knew for certain that is not true. I am one and I have never heard from him.

Bump for all those who think 'doctors' and 'judges' should have the right to decide that Terri's life is not worth living, and should be ended.

I don't normally like to comment on the eternal destiny of others, but I'm pretty sure Judge Greer is going to burn in hell.

And meanwhile we all wait the weeks it will take before we know if this time the court let her out of the ongoing tornado of need and depravation.

The last word should be either deprivation (in which case it would be redundant, following "need") or depravity, which, given the judges and attorneys who want her dead, is a more fitting description).

I was mistaken earlier in thinking you were referring to the big eyes video. As to why the sitting up in bed video is not on the web, ask their webmaster. That is, if such video does exist. In fact, post #7 doesn't mention a video of said event, only that the parents said that it happened.
