For those Freepers who have been very hard on Rush, I thought the Wall Street Journal said it best:
"...although conservatives think that character matters in public life, we have never bought into the idea that moral credibility is predicated on moral perfection.
If moral credibility were predicated on moral perfection, even our church pulpits would be silent. I'm sure liberals would not agree, but in my view, character has as much to do with how we handle our failings as the failings themselves."

Gee, if the libs didn't like Rush before...
They're really gonna hate him when he's clean and sober.

Did David mention if he had known about Rush's problems?

Thank you for the update. If anyone can beat this demon, Rush can. I can't wait until he's back, giving the liberals hell. He's got a few scores to settle now (Evan Thomas, Al Franken, etc) although knowing Rush, he probably won't sink to their level. Those idiots better enjoy kicking Rush while they can, because they've only got a few days left. If they thought Rush was a handful before, just wait...

Of course the libertarian party has sent their own best wishes to Limbaugh.
"One thing we don't hear from American politicians very often is silence," said Joe Seehusen, Libertarian Party executive director. "By refusing to criticize Rush Limbaugh, every drug warrior has just been exposed as a shameless, despicable hypocrite."
"And that's good news, because the next time they do speak up, there'll be no reason for anyone to listen."
Thank you libertarians.

Sometimes Rush has been wrong, but more often he has been right.
The liberal left justifiably fears him as one of the most popular and eloquent spokespersons for Conservatism in America. Remember Ed AssNer's quip - "We got Rush, Hannity is next"
He has my best wishes for a quick recovery and rapid return to the airwaves. I hope hsi recent experience does not dull the acerbity of his attacks.

I'm so glad Rush is doing better... As for David, I can't stand this guy. He's absolutely shameless in plugging his book... I happen to disagree with the overall premise- that Christians are being discriminated, though there are some good points there- the libs are trying to remove God from every institution...
Besides his voice, which is horrible, he can't stand up to scrutiny when asked to defend the primary assertions of his book - Susan Estrick tore him to shreds by asking a simple question - who's doing the discriminating? He bobbed and weaved, and came up with... nothing, nada, whining and more nothing. Pretty lame.

I will admit that I have a problem with what David Limbaugh was saying today. He implied that he was in contact with Rush.
I have always thought that when an addict went into "rehab", he was isolated, totally. From what David said today, it appears that Rush is in contact with family and friends. Not a good thing, from what I gather.
