I chose to put this on Breaking News because it just came on as Breaking NEWS on her website. PLEASE ,PLEASE go to the website http://www.terrisfight.org and read the letters that have just been sent to Jeb Bush in regards to the Terri Schiavo case. JEB BUSH can LEGALLY STOP THIS. CALL his office, CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, CALL and email the media.THE CLOCK is ticking to save her life.

Maybe i'm misinformed, can this woman think and communicate? Does she know anyone when they walk in, does she even know that their there. I ask this with sincerity because I was under the impression that she was beyond help, period. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

She has laughed, cried, spoken, sat up in bed when told she would die if not rehabilitated. She recognizes her mother and cries when she leaves at night. Just heartbreaking and the husband won't permit therapy for her to get better.

Her face lights up and she smiles when her mother enters the room.

She has been known to hear her husband coming down the hall, and she is fearful of him, and she starts to cry.

A therapist was talking to Terri over the phone (Terri was listening, not talking, of course) and the therapist made the mistake of telling Terri that unless she got up and started moving that they were going to kill her.

She tried desperately to get out of bed, but couldn't, and cried, was very fearful.

She may not speak, but she smiles. She may not speak, but her eyes can follow objects. She may not speak, but her eyes show that she is living in there.

She is a valuable human being, not a body lying motionless in a bed with eyes closed, that never moves.

Now that Ive had five people tell me all I have to do is go to a website and read two letters written by lawyers hired by the parents to understand that Jeb can save her life, Im convinced that none of you understand the arguments made by the lawyers or you could have explained it in one or two sentences.

Wow, you're a real piece of work.

I'd hardly characterize the document from the Thomas More Law Center as "lawyers hired by the parents" when the fact is that the Governor ASKED them to advise him on his rights in this case.

Well if she is that coherrent, does she understand the predicament she's in and why can't she make the decision herself if she can understand what's going to happen. I'm sure she could at least nod her head yes or no if she could sit up in bed.

Although I must admit that I was not aware of these things if this info is correct, I thought she laughed at a cartoon and that was about it. Even though i'm afraid that I wouldn't want my loved one to live like that, i'm sure it would be equally painful for them to go as well. It is heartbreaking to say the least.

It's great news, now for Jeb to do something quick!! He is here in Jacksonville to dedicate a building, the local Fox station told me they were having their reporter to ask him about Terri's case. I hope I will remember to watch it...

Because it appears that she is not being given the chance to try. The judges have sucked up to Michael and allowed him to bar any therapy, testing and rehab for her.

You are mis-reading what I said. I was pointing out the absurdity of them claiming that she is a vegetable, and then saying they will drug her so that she won't feel pain when they kill her.

This is beyond absurd. It is a crime against humanity.

So you'd like a non-lawyer to interpret what lawyers wrote?

It's a very busy day for me, and for others, too. We would rather devote our free time to promoting Terri's cause with the politicians and media. Forgive us if we don't have time to go over everything for you.

  I'll probably be wrong...but I'll make an attempt on some of the points

1. Bush waited until Mike took the steps to starve Terri, Bush can step in. Bush would not be interfering with a court but with the private action by Mike. (Brian Fahling)

2. Bush's obligation is to uphold Florida Law, not to uphold court decisions.

3. (From Jack Thompson) Governor, you have the power, by the mere stroke of a pen, to prohibit what is, in every sense, the execution of Terri Schiavo by a means that is both cruel and unusual in violation of Article I, Section 17 of the Florida Constitution and the Eighth Amendment to the United States Constitution.  

Death by dehydration and starvation is arguably the most brutal, inhumane, and pain-inducing way to kill any living creature.  The United States Department of Agriculture in its own regulations at 9CFR2.131 prohibits the withholding of food and water from farm animals. Terri Schiavo is not less than a farm animal.
