PLEASE ,PLEASE go to the website http://www.terrisfight.org and read the letters that have just been sent to Jeb Bush in regards to the Terri Schiavo case. JEB BUSH can LEGALLY STOP THIS. What I understand and granted it's just what i've read and seen on the news is that she smiles at cartoons and is semi aware/not very aware that someones there. I also understand that her husband recieved money to take care of her and he wants to cut the plug so I understand the possibility that there's some question as to whether or not he want's what's best for her or what's best for him. But if I was like that and yes I consider it a vegatative state, I wouldn't want to live.

I also asked my wife, would you want to live like that and her reply was "No". Now that's the truth although no one else heard it so I could believe even though their not married anymore that that's what was said and that he is simply doing what she asked for. So in reference to whether or not I know what the situation is, you correct me if i'm wrong in my information.

Their video hasn't been admissable. The judge refused to view most of it. He himself has NEVER gone one single time to see her. He fired a court appointed independent guardian who recommended that Terri receive therapy and who dared suggest that Michael Schiavo has a conflict of interest. He allowed Michael to spend her medical trust on lawyers fees used to fight her family. He allowed hearsay to carry the same weight as a written document such as a living will.

And besides all that, why should the parents have to PROVE that Terri is alive? Shouldn't Michael Schiavo have to prove that she is brain dead?

How can you say she was given the benefit of the doubt if she has never been allowed therapy? What, in your opinion, constitutes being given the benefit of the doubt?

Lord bless you. I had a daughter that had to be tube-fed as well, and it is beyond incomprehensible to think of depriving any person of the nutrients they need to survive.

Our Lord has blessed us. Too bad folks don't see what a privlege and blessing it is to care for those in need. It changes your perspective on life totally. We are more blessed for being our son's parents than our son is for having us.

What are they waiting for! Why are they letting Terri be tortured when they know now
that they can step in? Either Jeb will have Terri's blood on their hands and be complicit
in murder or Jeb can do the right thing and the thing he is obligated to do under the law
and that is to save Terri from further harm so that she can live and get the rehabilitation

I emailed that one yesterday after I got a form letter from another address that said he could do nothing to intervene.

I wrote I was a registered Republican but would not vote for him again in future if he didn't save Terri.

Then two hours later I hear he has met with the parents.

I can understand your point of view, my opinion isn't that far over the fence of the other side. I'm conflicted on this scenario just like anybody else, but just like I said in an earlier reply. My wife and I had the same conversation that he says that they had with his wife and I can tell you that she said she wouldn't want to live like that either. But if and when it ever came down to it, how would I prove it and would it make any difference if I had found someone else over a 10 year period. It wouldn't mean I didn't care about her and the situation that she was in, I would still love her enough to carry out her wishes despite what her parents or the news media thought.
