I chose to put this on Breaking News because it just came on as Breaking NEWS on her website. PLEASE ,PLEASE go to the website http://www.terrisfight.org and read the letters that have just been sent to Jeb Bush in regards to the Terri Schiavo case. JEB BUSH can LEGALLY STOP THIS. CALL his office, CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, CALL and email the media.THE CLOCK is ticking to save her life.

Don Joe, Sinkspur says you have been "making a fool of yourself" for three days on the forum. I don't think sinkspur has even been on this thread for some time. He is one of the most self-assured of the "moderates" on Free Republic. He just never heard of anything that a Bush did or didn't do that he did not endorse. I think he is from TX, perhaps Houston.

First of all, he would never allow her any Physical therapy to find out what the hell she was capable of and if you would like an insiders experience, read my letter to Phil Palealogos as I couldn't hear his a.m. program on the 17th..

I am in Florida and have been following this case with particular interest because, I was in her position at one time 11 years ago.

I had a subdural hematoma evacuated from my brain which precipitated a couple of strokes following my surgery. I was in a coma for a week or so and when I came out of my coma (on life support, which could have been disconnected at anyone's discretion) I was left paralyzed on my left side and my tongue or ( ability) to vocalize. I could hear and see and understand everything anyone said to me but my communication as hard as I tried was nothing but garble, and, noone could understand a word I was trying to say.

I've watched the videos of this woman and "I" know she understands. Fortunately for me, within a week or so, my ability to communicate returned to me.

I think Michael Schiavo would not allow rehabilitation to his wife because she "might regain communication skills" take that as you will.

If this man's intentions were truly Terri's interest, he would just turn her care over to her mother and father. He's afraid of something.

I called our local radio station this a.m. furious over some of the comments made on this case and presented the side of "one who has been there" and I can only hope people understand now.

I've written Jeb Bush, my congressman, the judge (who sentenced her to death) and the white house, and I don't know what else to do, although, it appears, some of our letters to Jeb have made quite an impact as he's found out that "starving this woman" is "illegal" in Fla.

I find it absolutely amazing that in his last two feeble tries at intervening on her behalf were not researched deeply enough to have found this out himself.

Now, "if he acts"!!! Time is short and people don't know the agony of dying of starvation and dehydration... look it up sometime, it will shock your socks off..

So pals, I know one thing, if you caged your dog and deprived it of food and water you would go to jail, also, you might like to know that dehydration and starvation involves the drying up of the mucous membranes, the throat, tongue and stomach, organs etc., eventually start cracking and bleeding and I'm sure you all think this might be a fun game to go through...

You are exactly right. The cause is a good one. Germain Grisez has a remarkably similar case in "Difficult Moral Questions" (question #47, p. 218). As to her "quality of life", Grisez has this to say: "Though she can no longer actively live her life, she does still have a life worthwhile in itself. Moreover, she has your love and faithfulness [here I'm not thinking of Terri's husband, but her real family who loves her], the childrens' love [her siblings], the committed care of her nurses [until last Wednesday at least], and the good will of others, such as those who pray for her. Some fully conscious people have a good deal less of true human value."

I haven't heard anything more about Schiavo's whereabouts, though we do know from others that he is in hiding. I would sure love to see actual pictures of Michael in the wig and dress disguise that was reported earlier. I can't help but laugh to myself to think of a 6'6" 280 lb "Michelle Schiavo" wandering around the vigil so as not to be recognized. I would give Jodi C. some advice that she ought to be very wary of how Michael treats her. I wouldn't be in a relationship with him for all the money in the world. She would be wise to move on, but she probably won't see it that way.

Excellent ideas, Mindbender. It's a terrible shame that the family did not appear to take your advice regarding legal rep. and PR which, in my opinion, was right on.

If, despite all efforts, Terri dies, my hope is her death will not be in vain; maybe all the attention focused on people in her predicament (with spouses or children who just want them out of the way), will do a great deal of good, and that can be Terri's legacy. But I still pray she is saved.

He is a registered nurse and respitory therapist. He became a nurse to "help" Terri, while he was going through the malpratisce lawsuit. He told the jury in that lawsuit under oath that all he wanted to do with the money was to "help" Terri and isn't amazing that right after he recieved the money, He remebers that Terri wouldn't want to live this way!
