I chose to put this on Breaking News because it just came on as Breaking NEWS on her website. PLEASE ,PLEASE go to the website http://www.terrisfight.org and read the letters that have just been sent to Jeb Bush in regards to the Terri Schiavo case. JEB BUSH can LEGALLY STOP THIS. CALL his office, CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVES, CALL and email the media.THE CLOCK is ticking to save her life.

Sorry if this post isn't " polished" and " refined" but I am not a seasoned " poster" here on FR.

Did he say somewhere that he has seen the films which say Terri has no cerebral cortex? I missed that.

No that was my guesswork in progress. He said he looked it up, as evidence that he knew her cerebral cortex was completely gone.

So he has access to the medical files I am guessing, but also needs to have them interpreted for him, just like those who suck the teats of Soros need to be told to give up their rights to decisions about end of life care, and trust completely in the person wearing the white coat.

Authority is always trustworthy, especially in a white coat....lol, we were just having this discussion at work the other day, in fact.

more profitable things

I know, strela, that's what American culture is all about today. I am sorry that you feel the need to endorse death for the most vulnerable people in society.

Why can't that case be bumped up to the Florida Supreme Court, with the Governor's office filing the suit?

As I understand it, the INFAMOUS SUPREMES refused it.I think this will have to be filed as a criminal investigation. GO BUSH.....comeon.......DO WHAT IS RIGHT. THe CLOCK IS TICKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the law post. Of course the judge is usurping the law, my question is what is in his past, or who appointed him? There is no way he doesn't have some major influence from someone on the right to die crowd.

Terri's level of awareness is severely restricted, but it is important to note that ANY awareness places her above the level of comatose AND above the level of persistent vegetative state. She will not be writing differential equations in the future, but she is aware and should not be 'put down' like some incovenient pet by the husband who refuses to divorce her yet has been living with and fathering children with another woman for seven years! His cohabiting for so long with another 'spouse' alone should render him an unfit guardian for his defrauded wife! Yes, defrauded, because adultery is defrauding of the spouse to whom he's married! Defrauding the one whom judge Greer insists is the proper guardian is a travesty of 'floriduh' justice. You'd think a governor of a state as large as Florida would comprehend this and act according to his expressed beliefs found in the amicus brief he filed on Terri's behalf. But we see Jeb Bush is incapbale of mustering the courage to act on his own words! It proves he didn't believe what he filed, thus he is not only cowardly, he is two-faced. Not the sort I'd want as a governor or president ... we've already endured clinton in that role.

Trained physicians and professionals who went to school a hell of a lot longer than you did and who are a hell of a lot smarter than you are disagree.

Speaking of easy to refute....there are posts here on FR from those same "trained physicians" saying the opposite. And btw, did the good doctor Cranford happen to be paid for his position as he spoke from the stand? Yes he did.

All ghouls like money more than life, and will say whatever they are told to if you pay them enough. Or if Soros offers them some milk...

Jeb Bush is really risking his career here; I don't think he fully understands how outraged people are over this case. His failure to act to save Terri and his lame excuses about the whole case will not be forgotten. He is acting just like a Democrat.

I have just received an unconfirmed third-hand report from a source I trust implicitly, saying that he has asked his brother (POTUS) to take action so that he can intercede.

If he follows through on this -- in time -- I will retract the bulk of my statements. Until that time, I stand by them. His failure to act decisively is unconscionable.

I see what you're saying, but what I saw hardly could be considered coherrent understanding. But I will admit that she definately smiled at it & seemed (just barely) to think it was funny

Of course you are not going to see a hysterical laughter that would APPEAR normal. Her muscles and reflexes are damagaed.......just not her mind. Anyone with CP would understand what I am talking about. The MIND is working, just not the muscles. You can TELL her MIND is working .Look at the SPARKLE in her EYES.

Bingo.

That vile bastard has not only denied her therapy, but has actually flown into a rage when he found nurses putting rags in her hand so that her fingernails wouldn't cut into her skin.

He is obsessed with her death. There is no "love" or "care" involved. He despises her. The record is quite clear on that matter.

Peter Singer drinks water and so do I.

However Terri is currently being deprived of water, funny you should make your point in this way...

And neither you nor Peter Singer drink from the water which is life-giving, and endures beyond death, indeed has defeated death, trampling down death, has shown your master to be weak.

"Terri's parents state on the website that most of it is gone, having been used to pay for Terri's care."

Nice try.

That is an outright LIE.

If you'd actually read their website, you'd know that he spent the money NOT on "caring" for her, but on Felos -- for the purpose of killing her.

Or perhaps you consider that vile activity to be "caring" for her?

Marmema, I commend you for your efforts for Terri. I've noticed you've been involved since the beginning. Are you on the front lines by chance?

God bless you.

Here it is from the website.

In a malpractice lawsuit, Terri’s husband personally received over $300,000 for his loss of consortium. Terri was awarded $750,000 from this suit and an additional $250,000 from a separate malpractice lawsuit. The money was awarded to Terri for her care and rehabilitation and to be placed in a Medical Trust Fund. Terri’s husband received his personal award money and Terri’s medical fund money in early 1993. From the date he received the award money in 1993, Michael Schiavo has denied Terri any rehabilitation treatment. Michael Schiavo has confined Terri to a nursing home (currently, Terri is in a Hospice facility) where she is 'maintained.'

Her husband has directed that Terri only be sustained in a nursing home which is contrary to the intent of the award money. Michael Schiavo has on two occasions unsuccessfully attempted to end Terri’s life by instructing her caretakers not to medicate Terri for potentially fatal infections. The first occasion occurred less than nine months after her husband received the malpractice award money.

Some Facts

Terri has no will. Should she die, her husband will inherit what is left of Terri’s $750,000 medical fund.
Terri’s husband lives in a house with Jodi Centonze. He openly admits that he has been engaged to this women for over seven years, have recently given birth to a baby girl, and has announced plans to marry her when Terri is no longer alive.
Since receiving the award money in 1993, her husband has ceased and prohibited any new or aggressive treatment for Terri. He has only maintained Terri at a nursing home (currently, Terri is in a Hospice facility). He has totally ignored or denied rehabilitation therapy that could possibly assist Terri’s recovery.
Since 1993, Terri’s husband has consistently and deliberately withheld all medical information and data from Terri’s family. Over the past eight years he has ordered Terri’s caretakers not to reveal any medical or neurological information
Michael Schiavo will not permit any doctor to examine Terri other than the doctors he selects.
As Terri’s legal guardian, her husband has used her medical fund money to offset the legal costs when his guardianship of Terri was initially challenged and to pay the current legal costs to have Terri’s life ended.
Terri responds regularly to the presence of her parents and friends. Her husband's doctors testified Terri's cognizant responses to Terri’s parents and friends are simply a reflex action.

Sorry, but that's the way the law is written in Florida in this case. Take it up with them.

Interesting how they always fall back on this in between their teat-sucking of Soros.

In the NEJM, when some docs are accused in subtle ways of killing patients, on this very topic, the accused come back with, 'well the US Supreme Court has said it is not murder to deprive someone of food and water'.

They have no moral life or even a sense of ethics(in spite of their love of the word), so they just fall back on the court decisions to explain their reasoning.

The judicial monarchy is in place, and here are the judicial groupies. May God spare them and have mercy on them.
