LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - In Hollywood, the latest trend in real estate may not be seaside mansions but quaint little state houses.

A friend and fellow celebrity of Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Wednesday he wants to join the actor-turned-politician at future gubernatorial conventions by getting elected chief executive of South Dakota.

Pat O'Brien, a graduate of the University of South Dakota who also studied international economics at Johns Hopkins University, said he is seriously considering challenging incumbent Republican Mike Rounds in the 2006 election.

"I had a professor there named Bill Farber who has always pushed Tom Brokaw and me -- we were both his students -- into some kind of public service," O'Brien said.

Isn't this boob the Entertainment Tonight show correspondent or something? He was also the sideline reporter for NBA games in the 80s.

Close...I think he does Access Hollywood. I recall him from sports too. I remember him being the CBS host of the World Series when the Blue Jays won. I'm sure he did other sports stuff.

Well, I found out that Pat O'B, is from SD, but I haven't found out what part or what city. But I still think this could make him a carpet bagger.... Since he has not lived in the state for so long and has not had to deal with life in this state. This of course is my opinion. He is not the only carpet bagger known to this state...should we mummer the name Herse_ _.
