Sox in 7. Hopefully, that doesn't mean 2027. I don't know if this is true but, I heard someone say that the Curse of the Bambino was supposed to last for 100 years after his death.

Nah. In the Bronx, they only interfere over the outfield fences. And only when Yanks hit the ball :)

Is that a black guy in WHITEFACE? OMG the horrors Can you imagine something "similar" for an NBA game? I don't believe the picture would make the papers or television.

They should've grabbed the guys from the YES networks booth for this series. The Fox 5 crew is unbearable. They couldn't announce a fire drill.

No, you're not the only one... listening to a Boston broadcast or NY broadcast, depending on your sympathies, would be the best, while having the play on the tv to watch.

To recap from yesterday:
Mrs. Hamm
Homers, homers, I had much
Gone are homers in the clutch
I do not hit them in the park
I do not hit them on the mark
I do not hit them in the gap
I do not hit them in my cap
I do not hit them worth a damn
I do not hit them, Hamm I am

I believe it's 100 years after the deal (that sent Ruth to the Yanks), not his death. That would be 1920 (2020).

The Bills? It's almost a 7-hour drive from Orchard Park to Yankee Stadium. Worlds apart. Don't confuse Buffalo with NYC! Wouldn't stop the NYers I know (switching allegiance to a frontrunner, not driving) -- and you do realize that there is more to NY than NYC? I went to school in central NY, and there were many with split/rotating loyalties that included the Bills and the New Jersey teams.

LOL! We shall see. If the Yankees lose, their "fans" will have to: 1. Get their Mets hat out of the closet and put away their Yankees shirt. 2. Root for the Islanders, Devils, or Rangers, whichever team is doing well that year. 3. Root for the Jets, Bills, or Giants, whichever team is doing well that year (probably none). 4. Have Jeff Nelson and Karim Garcia help a couple of the CrimiKnicks break out of jail so the Knicks don't totally suck. 5. If the jail break doesn't work, root for the Nets. You forgot - 6. Remove their feet from their extremely large mouths.

They earned their nickname because of their frequent successful raids into the countryside to capture cattle for the British Army in New York. Out west we call such folks rustlers. Then we hang 'em.
