I can see both sides of this issue, and, in my opinion, it's not the husband's fault for wanting to have a life. The law is at fault for making a solution impossible.

Have you read much about Terri's case? If you haven't, please inform yourself. If you have, you are wrong on several points. The law may be screwed up but the law isn't forcing Terri's so-called husband to order her to be killed. He is perfectly able to have a life - to the point of having a live-in girlfriend, one kid, and one on the way. It's not that he can't have a life. He just wants to end Terri's.

It's sad the priorities people put on things. Another human being's life is worth less than hubby being able to score some poontang.

I am so ready to go.

NO KIDDING? Why don't you help me look? Katnip has been trying too.

Here is my list so far -
Greece, Mexico, Canada ( my husband says no way but if push comes to shove they are in a much better place than we are for euthanasia at least).

Czech Republic is so cool! They turned away from the UN and refuse to euthanize people no matter what. Takes ten years to gain citizenship, though, and you have to live there the entire time.

We have to strongly ignore England, Australia, and New Zealand, and I think France is a goner as well.

Jump in any time for searching and ideas. I wrote a priest in Greece and he said the monasteries would take us there and help us. He is supposed to get back to me with more info soon.

I never dreamed it would be this hard. But I did sell three of my goats in preparation....we're looking at about 4-5 years down the road, but we have to choose a country to study the language and get the kids up to speed on it first.

And while Terri is alive he'll be faced with his guilt. When I think of how amazing it is that he is so hardhearted, I just look - so many abortions. The more selfish people are, the harder their hearts.

Don't get your hackles up!

What I'm saying is the law should allow him to divorce her and marry the girlfriend if that's what he wants to do.
If his only recourse is to pull the plug in order to have a life with his present mate, then he's kind of backed into a corner.
Answer me civilly and we can discuss this.
But I don't mind flame wars, either.

He died of pneumonia after being spirited away, sort of. Reminded me of the Steven Becker case in many ways.

The legal guardian refused antibiotics on his behalf when he was sick ( for Wendland).

But Wesley tells me Michael Martin is still alive and well, though his wife is out talking about what a great organ donor he could be, if only she could have killed him.

That is the sad part that you have to move in order to protect your children. This country had better wake up or we are going to find ourselves replaying history.

Do you know, btw, what the feast is in the Orthodox church for this day? It is about famine and dehydration. I kid you not. When I told our priest he was surprised, but then he said it was no coincidence.

Have you thought of Poland? My husband is from Poland (escaped during Communism). They are still very pro-life - there were a lot of threads about the "abortion ship" that came there and the protests that ensued. One of the Catholic head guys said that the abortion ship wanted to commit the crime of killing Polish citizens.
I know you are Orthodox, I don't know if there are many in Poland. But I love my Polack! If there are more like him you would like it there.

You really haven't a clue if you can write the following: I can see both sides of this issue, and, in my opinion, it's not the husband's fault for wanting to have a life. The law is at fault for making a solution impossible. The 'husband for wanting to have a life'? What planet do you hail from? The husband has refused to divorce Terri for more than a decade and has been cohabiting with another female with whom he has one child and is expecting another! The husband has been abusing Terri for more than a decade by commanding that she receiev NO REHABILITATION therapy and must never be even wheeled outside to experience the dangerous stimulus of fresh air! As to the law, it is judge Greer at fault for denying even the most rudimentary therapy to see if Terri can be fed or even learn to feed herself! What the hell kind of justice is it that denies a woman the chance to try then sentences her to death because she can't do that which the judge has refused her the chance to try? Get a clue!

If his only recourse is to pull the plug in order to have a life with his present mate, then he's kind of backed into a corner.

Is divorce against the law in Florida?

Doesn't the fact that he has two kids with present woman indicate that he has a life? (If it can be called such, with such a hard heart.) What about the fact that her parents and siblings are ready, willing and able to take full responsibility for her care? How is all that preventing him from having a life, so much that he has to take hers away from her?
