If his only recourse is to pull the plug in order to have a life with his present mate, then he's kind of backed into a corner.

Is divorce against the law in Florida?

Doesn't the fact that he has two kids with present woman indicate that he has a life? (If it can be called such, with such a hard heart.) What about the fact that her parents and siblings are ready, willing and able to take full responsibility for her care? How is all that preventing him from having a life, so much that he has to take hers away from her?

It was my understanding that he was refused a divorce.
If that is not the case, then I withdraw my statement.

One thing to remember, however, is that we have no way of knowing what kind of arrangement was made between the husband and wife in case something like this should ever happen.
My sis made me promise that I'd pull the plug when she needed artificial resuscitation, but no one knew that but me.
It wouldn't have made it any easier to do.
