I just read a comment on one of the threads about this (don't ask me where now), that the judge in this case did not even read the opinions of 6 of the 7 doctors who wrote evaluations about this.I was alerted to this by iowamomforfreedom:
August 7, 2001 - Judge Greer ignored all the evidence presented to him and ordered to have Terri's feeding stopped on August 28, 2001. In his written court order, he admitted he did not read six of the seven doctor's affidavits.

We are talking about two different things here. I said don't watch Matthews because of his arrogance and leftwing tilt. He was insulting the supporters of Terri on his program. He is a Tip O'Neill-trained liberal.
As far as a commando raid, this would land everybody involved in probably a permanent prison sentence, whether successful or not. But it would be nice to dream, wouldn't it.
Have you wondered how much the police guards in Terri's rooms are being paid? I bet it's no more than the 30 pieces of silver given to Judas.

What I meant is that Schiavo seems to get to obey the laws he wants to obey and disobey those he opposes. He is Clintoid, it would appear in that respect.

Yes, I know that the brain does compensate. It has been some time since I studied neurological psychology, but it was fascinating. The brain is indeed a wondrous creation. And as your experience reveals, doctors are frequently wrong and God is still in the miracle business, but sometimes those miracles are actually built into the programming.

The removal of the feeding tubes will be the direct cause of death, no matter how Bill Press or anyone else slices it. At least he understands that it's murder to put a pillow over someone's face!
Sometimes a family is faced with a difficult decision to remove breathing tubes. When removed, the person succumbs to whatever ailment they might have had (cancer, for instance). The body is not able to undertake breathing naturally, and so there is no moral problem with removing the ventilator -- the primary cause of death would be cancer.
Feeding tubes are different. Removing the feeding tubes makes the primary cause of death starvation. Add to the mix the fact that she doesn't want to die, and we've got a moral crisis on our hands.

Thanks much for posting the link to your comment about the affidavits. I wasn't quite clear, remembered incorrectly what you wrote.
This is just beyond belief.

But they apparently have her under sedation so she can't try to demand water or food.

I'm disappointed in Fox with going along with the whole "comatose" and "being allowed to die" angle.

I have had the opportunity to be involved in depth with my niece's care and her Dr. visits. Her neurologist has actually told me that the brain of a child is so complex and holds more potential than we would ever know. He said that we are conditioned to teach them certain things and because of the limited awareness and ability that we possess we just cannot tap into that potential. I am assuming that his statement is scientifically based.

The same has been shown when radical surgery, specifically the severing of the corpus collosum which is responsible for the transfer of information between the 2 sides of the brain, has been performed on epileptics to control grand mal seizures.

I AGREE. I get more and more aggravated everytime I see the news. No one is telling it the way it really is. So much for fair and balanced.

As far as a commando raidA rescue is being planned in Edmonton, Canada. They are trying to get Terri named as a something, where you seek refuge in another country. Then they just have to get her there somehow....

Ah, now I see what you meant.
He's the poster boy for cold-heartedness towards his disabled wife (not unlike another accused husband in California whose wife is already dead), and yet everything just seems to fall right into place for him.

You can imagine how bothered I am about what Terri and her parents are enduring.I knew you had to be bothered...and for that, I am ashamed of these evil people.
