Just signed the Star Wars Kid petition... I'm not sure whether the Star Wars kid actually *wants* to be in Star Wars III, but hey, why not help give him the chance?
Here's the petition:

I've seen several versions of this. The kid is a riot. I love the ones with the sound effects.

The idea has been raised of putting SWK and Idiot Cubs Fan in the same movie and letting them have a little duel. Only, make sure the prop guy gives the WORKING lightsaber to SWK.

His acting certainly couldn't be any worse than Hayden Christiansen's

My favorite is the Matrix agents one. Somebody put a lot of effort into that one.

Some of those look like they were done in professional studios.

I say give SWK a walk on cameo. What could it hurt?
C'mon Mr. Lucas, it might even sell another ten thousand tickets.

According to news reports, the filming of the (presumably last) Star Wars installment is already concluded, and all that remains is editing and lab work to put in the special effects and so forth.

I feel terrible for that Cubs fan. He's got the headphones on, probably a big fan listening intently to the play-by-play as his team seems on the verge of the World Series. And now this.
I want the Cubs to win it now just for the sake of that poor guy. Of course, the 8 runs in that inning were not all because of the foul ball he touched, though it did seem like it opened the floodgates. But you know if the Cubs lose, this guy will go down in Chicago infamy like Mrs. O'Leary and her cow.
In the guy's defense, I don't think he had any idea Alou was going for the ball. Alou was down below a high wall, and everybody in that section was watching the flight of the ball coming towards them, figuring it was going into the seats, and I didn't see any of them watching the left fielder come over to try to make a play. It wasn't as bad as some plays I've seen where the fans at field level see their own fielder coming over for a pop-up and still interfere. But I don't think that was the case with this kid. Tough break for him and tough break for the Cubs. I hope they can pull out a win tonight, for his sake. (And I'm saying that as a Yankee fan who's not looking forward to facing Wood and Prior in a possible Cuns-Yanks World Series)

I suggest, if filming is already over, this kid be portrayed in the "Star Wars" Extended Universe Action Figure series.

Oops, in my post #15 "Cuns" should obviously be "Cubs".
Good thing I didn't inadvertently add an extra "t" there. :-O

Uh, why ? There are hundreds of fan-flicks out there, and done with a LOT more talent and style than a moderately-retarded effort like "Star Wars Kid".
Now, if you suggested the people who made "TROOPS" (a Stormtrooper parody of "COPS" ) or "The Art of the Saber" (two young martial-arts types fighting lightsaber with CGIed lightsabers), you might have something. But not the Star Wars Kid. . .
