I dont think this guy is a bad guy or anything, but he just looks like a total geek. I mean look at him.

I feel terrible for that Cubs fan. He's got the headphones on, probably a big fan listening intently to the play-by-play as his team seems on the verge of the World Series. And now this.

I want the Cubs to win it now just for the sake of that poor guy. Of course, the 8 runs in that inning were not all because of the foul ball he touched, though it did seem like it opened the floodgates. But you know if the Cubs lose, this guy will go down in Chicago infamy like Mrs. O'Leary and her cow.

In the guy's defense, I don't think he had any idea Alou was going for the ball. Alou was down below a high wall, and everybody in that section was watching the flight of the ball coming towards them, figuring it was going into the seats, and I didn't see any of them watching the left fielder come over to try to make a play. It wasn't as bad as some plays I've seen where the fans at field level see their own fielder coming over for a pop-up and still interfere. But I don't think that was the case with this kid. Tough break for him and tough break for the Cubs. I hope they can pull out a win tonight, for his sake. (And I'm saying that as a Yankee fan who's not looking forward to facing Wood and Prior in a possible Cuns-Yanks World Series)
