She had bulimia, and that may explain why she collapsed initially. However it happened she does not deserve to be killed now.

He claims that Terri told him she wouldn't want to be kept alive if ever in this condition, but his ex-girlfriend said in a deposition that he told her that Terri never said what she wanted one way or the other.

I would like to see any court on this planet deny me the right to provide medical treatment for my seriously ill daughter. Anyone who got in my way would be another number in a body count. This is absolutely insane. If ever there was a case for civil disobedience and defiance of a (kangaroo) court order, this is it.
Roger that.
Time for her father and her brother to do what's needed to get her someplace safe. Anyone who interferes is fair game.

I'm sure you've read the other replies to your question, so I'll just say this - the real kicker of it is that he only "remembered" that she said "one time" that she wouldn't want to "live like that" when they were watching "some movie" about someone on life support (which title he can't remember) AFTER the settlement money of somewhere between 1-2 million was in his hands.
Prior to that, in the malpractice trial that eventually netted him the settlement, he said under oath that he loved his wife very much and wanted to take care of her for the rest of her life, but only lacked the means.

Does anyone know if the husband will be able to insurance upon her death? I have not followed this closely, but I did watch the videotape on GMA this morning. She may be a vegetable, but is certainly not in the comatose state that her husband would have everyone believe.

of course, the 1.6 million he gets after she dies is pretty good motivation,too....Well, that answers my question. No wonder he never divorced her. If no one steps in and she dies, I hope this rotten bas*** fries in hell. What a despicable human being.

He claims that Terri told him she wouldn't want to be kept alive if ever in this condition, but his ex-girlfriend said in a deposition that he told her that Terri never said what she wanted one way or the other. Why does the judge believe the husband on this? I would have to see written proof with her life at stake. My God, he's been living with another woman he has children with, why in the hell did he not divorce Terri years ago? One word..... money. I have not paid any attention to this case until I saw the videotape on GMA this morning. I was expecting to see someone in a coma, but she sure didn't look comatose to me. A vegetable, yes, but definitely not in a coma. If her family is willing to seek therapy for her and take care of her, he should just step aside. He apparently moved on with his life years ago.

Well, this is what I just wrote to Gov. Bush from www.terrisfight.org:
10/15/03
Dear Governor Bush,
Today is the day Terri Schiavos feeding tube is to be removed to cause her death. Sir, this is tortuous (more humanity is shown towards death row inmates) and I cannot believe that a court-ordered "execution" of a disable person is taking place in our country. PLEASE pull your HUGE STRINGS and do something to stop this! This travesty being carried out by this woman's alleged "husband" is no different than the Muslim atrocities committed by men against their wives and daughters something in principle our nation is totally against and outraged by. It is a matter of convenience for Michael Schiavo, so he can collect Terris settlement and get married. This is barbaric and taking place in our America - our land of freedom and compassion. (??)
I beg you to save this womans life.
Sincerely
(me)

Mr. Shitavo just may find life in the U.S. a bit too unfriendly if he gets away with this. Well, at least with 1.6 mil he could live comfortably in any country or territory that values human life...say for instance, certain places in the Middle East??? < /sarcasm>

I posted this on another thread that seems to be inactive.
Since all else has failed to this point. Why doesn't her family file charges against the husband for attempted murder, for having caused her initial injury since they have found the x-rays with damage to her neck and they have the doctor who says the injury could have been caused by strangulation.
They could then demand that this removal of life sustaining food and water be reversed because Teri is the only witness to the crime. In the mean time file a motion to get his guardianship removed because he has no interest in seeing her live, and have the matter moved to another court since Judge Greer is intent upon killing Teri - again the only witness. Get the new court to order rehabilitative therapy so that she might in someway be able to testify against her husband at the trial.
Seems to me that with his failure to provide rehabilition, basic care and his own statements and actions witnessed by any number of other people they have a case against him. Others have been found guilty for far less than what they seem to have on Michael Schiavo.
Is anyone in contact with Teri's family or their attorney or the Attorney General or the district attorney? I know this sounds desperate, but desperate times warrant desperate measures.

The husband is from Clearwater? Is there any evidence that he's involved with Scientology? That could explain a lot, and would be really scary.
To: MeeknMing
To all you folks on the Florida ping list: WHAT is going on down there? Aren't the 'older' citizens of Florida concerned? This could affect them in a very real way in the not too distant future.

She's having the feeding tube removed because her husband thinks that's what she'd want? The same husband who already has had 2 children with his "fiancee".
