From the Chicago Tribune...
At the ballpark, thousands leveled their ire at the man in the left field stands, who reached out for the fly ball, hitting it before Alou could catch it. He and another fan involved in the incident said they didn't lean over the wall and weren't to blame. "I didn't reach over and touch the ball," said one of the two men as fans nearby hurled epithets and beer his way. "I didn't ruin it, but everyone thinks I ruined it." Beside him, his seatmate repeatedly said, "No comment." Both declined to give their names, and security soon whisked them away. Police officers escorted one of the men out of the stadium through the Waveland Avenue exit, while dozens of people followed screaming at the man, a few threatening his life, and others yelling that the loss was his fault. Several officers took the man into a Streets and Sanitation van while police held back the crowd. "He said he was sorry," said Sgt. Darrell Willoughby. "He was very remorseful. And he just kept saying, `It's not my fault.' We had to escort him out of here because the crowd wanted to get their hands on him." Willoughby said the man is not under arrest because he didn't break any laws, but they escorted him away for his safety. Security led the second man out through the front gate. "We got him out for his own safety," said Mike Hill, Wrigley's security manager who said the man was 26. "He was kind of scared."

Look for me on TV tonight. I'll be the guy keeping his hands in the stands on foul balls. Have fun at the game a bring home a Cub victory!
(I haven't forgotten, though, that some of your fans brought that GOAT down here last month...
And it worked.)

Sigh. I had that feeling the second that foul fly was interfered with. Well , we'll see tonight if the curse lives or dies.
