RED SOX/YANKEES GAME 4 ALCS BASEBALL - Red Sox Win 3-2

Ok, rain's gone away and it's a beautiful fall evening here in Boston. I've never post anything on FR, so I apoligize in advance if I'm doing it wrong. I don't know anything about pinging or anything like that. Hope the usual suspects find this.
I hope we can move the discussion back to baseball. I'm so tired of Pedro, Manny, Zim, Garcia and the bullpen guy. I think the players have at least temporarily put all incidents aside and will return to playing the game without the extra theatrics.
With that in mind, let me say this: the idea that all Sox fans are English soccer hooligans is as false as saying all conversatives are racists. Most Red Sox fans are extremely passionate about baseball and most of us have Yankee fans as friends, neighbors, co-workers, and even spouses. The media potrayals I've seen in some cases have grossly exaggerated the truth about Boston fans. Yes, we want to win - just ONE DAMN TIME before we all die. Yes, there are a few jerks who get out of hand. But that can be found at Yankee stadium, Wrigley Field, or just about any professional sports event (except Expos games, let's face it no one is even there to fight). At the end of the day, whether the Sox are in the playoffs or 25 games out, it's all about cracking a beer, having a hotdog and enjoying life.
Play ball!

Yeah, I remember as a kid seeing Brooks Robinson all around town. In movie lines, at restaurants, at department stores.... just a normal every day Baltimore citizen. It was only in the seventies but times have really changed.
I will say though that I saw Chipper Jones at the mall awhile back. He was standing outside the Gap watching the baby in the stroller and holding his wife's purse. Too funny.
These guys should really show their human side every once in awhile.

You have a neighbor who actually owns a goat or any livestock? I have to do more travelling in Flyover Country.

OK, no need to steal now. Two on, nobody out. Look for a sacrifice bunt.

Look for a sacrifice bunt. Silly me, I forgot Giambi was batting 3rd. I'm not sure I've ever seen him try to bunt in his life.

Sox got lucky, but it's obvious that Wakefield's knuckleballer isn't moving like is was in game one.

Just stopping by for a minute - I've got to save my strength for the Cubs-Marlins tomorrow.

Were those Brett "farva" beans you ate? If so, they won't help on a baseball thread.

I got stinking drunk with David Wells when he was with the Tigers.

Sweet...
The disappointment of McCarver and Buck was palatable when Wake got out of the jam.
I'm going to have mute and go radio soon.

Wakefield was horrid in inning one. They are lucky to get the DP on that line drive or this inning would still be dragging on. Ends the inning with a strikeout.
