[history]
Rush Limbaugh is off the air. But his critics are only just now getting on his back. As he tries to kick his prescription drug habit, those who hate him are just kicking him. I say, give it a rest.

You have not listened to Rush, cause he did not "defend WOD week after week".

Just wondering....: )

Whoa. Didn't know Cavuto was in a wheel chair. Have a friend with MS. A very rough life.
To: abnegation
Thanks for posting this Cavuto perspective. I just caught the last of it and wished I had heard it all. I really liked Neil when he was doing financial on the other network and when we were able to get FOX, there he was. A pleasant surprise. He has so much common sense and isn't shy about expressing his often politically incorrect opinions.

Neil is also a cancer survivor.

You frigin liberals try to equate every sin in the world with Rush's failure. If you stretch it just a bit more you can make him a child molestor, too.

Rush's delivery is akin to Howard Cosell...it's meant to rile people up. Looks like it worked on you and got your attention didn't it?
To: Let's Roll
WOW, Neil took steroids to deal with some issues regarding MS. I wonder if he will be the lefts next target. {sarcasm off}
The left is in huge trouble and anything is to be expected from them and the ends justifies the means.
We will indeed come up the winners. Sadly some will be hurt.
I am confident that we are heading in the right direction.
The damage has taken many years to get this point and there is no quick fix but we are in the right direction.
Maybe we should pine for Cavuto to fill in for Rush one day.

Downey is exibit "A" on why we should NOT legalize drugs...but leave it you you third party sensitive types to climb upon someone's addicted and use it for you anti-WOD soap box...like Harry Browne did with the smoldering ash of the Twin Towers...you guys have no class...and NO political acumene...There is nothing hypocritical about opposing legalization if YOU YOURSELF are evidence of the damage done by drugs.
But there is something very slimy about chasing every ambulance and using the suffering subject as your backdrop to further your insane cult-like rants about the WOD.
To: StatesEnemy
Your point, your medicine cabinet more important to you than a 6 year old or wife.
Your priorities come out very clear.
To: basil
[Rush's] latest statement on the subject was that he thought drugs should be legalized. Do you have a source on that?

(It's my belief, that if you're REALLY good, you don't have to be cocky)Rush's cocky routine is mostly an act. People who claim to reject Rush over his cockiness either don't understand him or they have other disagreements which affect their perception of him. If I disagreed with a third of what Rush said, I probably wouldn't like him much either.
To: abnegation
This was one of the simplest, best defenses for Rush I've read thus far. V's wife.

Some news org did a search on Rush vs Drug Talk and found the last time he said anything anti-drug was 3-4 years ago, I forget when. He prop knew he'd be a hipocrite if he mentioned anything anti-drug. So your comment about speaking against drugs day after day holds no water.

There's nothing wrong with being human and failing. There is everything wrong with being selective and phony. Amen. Thanks for the ping.
