What is it he's supposed to do? He has no authority over the judge who issued pulling the plug. From my communication with him he seems to be doing what he can do-getting interested parties to protest the action and get the judge to reverse himself.

It would be nice if he could just "pardon" her since the judiciary branch seems to have "sentenced" her to death. I know this probably doesn't mesh with reality or law... but it's my own personal last-minute fantasy.

His brother is the President....correct? If the Bush's can pull strings to get other things done...they can certainly make this one a priority. I voted and worked for the Jeb campaign...but his 2nd term has been one let down after another...sorry. I do however remain a huge fan of W.

The governor can pardon a man condemned to death, can't he. That's what he can do.

That was going to be my question, what could Jeb do? From the responses here, apparently nothing right now?

It seems the Bush family is always blamed for everything these days. They must really be one mean group of bad boys! :-)

He has the authority to stay the execution of a criminal on death row. Why can't he stay this execution?

What he can do is what any Thinking concerned person SHOULD do, especially if he is at the helm of Government in the State of Florida.

He has the option to send armed officers into that hospital and to refuse to allow anyone to touch her until an outside independent analysis is done on Terri's behalf.

THAT is what he can do. But he is just as big a coward as any other politician in this country today.

The government exists for one purpose in this country, and that is to protect the right to LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Other than that it has NO purpose.

Jeb can get off his fat political ass and do something, ANYTHING, or he's going to be just another bystander to the murder of an innocent.

He has the power and the authority. But it's obvious that he's not going to use it.
