Get off your Jeb Bush rant.
And Randall Terry, with his very public dumping of his wife and kids four years ago so he could marry a much younger woman, ain't the Christian icon he used to be.

The more I see your posts, the more I like you, Sinkspur.
No governor requires a judicial decision to act in in just such a case.
Judges DO NOT RUN the states, nor the federal government --- which is in particular, because you brought it up --- a Bush family problem.
No rant; purely observation of the powers reserved to the States by the U.S. Constitution, which includes, by the way, the power to make a Supreme Court case out of it.
My... the heavy burden of responsible leadership; sometimes this means losing your job for the sake of doing the right thing.
The point is, there are limits to judicial jurisdictions, much to the surprise of judges who have for too long IMAGINED that they have the last word on what a law means.
THEY DO NOT.
The people of the state have the last word, lawfully, through their democratic-republican - elected legislatures.
The law of the land --- the authority in this land --- derives from the people, through their lawfully chosen representatives.
Judges have only very, very specific authority to address matters undecided, found in the statutes where mankind naturally cannot write well enough to cover all the bases, so to speak.
In addition, the legislative bodies in this land, have the power to decide what will be the jurisdictional limits.
What is the point in worrying about this poor girl's pending demise, when the country is on the edge of relinquishing the sovereignty of the people, to the privileged class of judges?
What? The democratic experiment is over? Because we shall sit and hum tunes while both the Executive and Legislative Branches of government await the Judicial Branch's decisions on all things?
The purpose of the Judicial Branch is NOT to make tokens of the other two. THEY MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for maintaining their power, lest warfare become necessary again, to reassert the sovereignty of the people, long fought hard for after the millenia of experience that man accumulated by the time of Ben Franklin, that for Heaven's sake, is it not about time that we limit government?
Governors have Executive power, not merely administrative or managerial.
If they have the guts.
The Bush Family does not.
To paraphrase Andrew Jackson, the Judicial Branch has made its decision, now let them enforce it. Jeb doesn't have to let them get away with murder; he can break the law and intervene if he feels like it. All he has to do is get her out of Florida, and the Florida courts won't even have any authority, right?
