Homosexual agenda promoted in the new children’s movie “Good Boy”
Posted on 10/12/2003 6:17:53 PM PDT by mandingo republican
The homosexual agenda is being promoted in the new Jim Henson Productions childrens movie titled Good Boy. I took my niece and nephew to see this cute movie about dogs who talk. Its a kids movie overall but I was shocked to find how the leftist Hollywood establishment tries in very subtle ways to get its cultural agenda across. I dont know if the kids picked it up, but I suspect that its been done before and it will continue to happen in the future. Its like a veiled form of conditioning a brainwashing of sorts, designed to alter perceptions of the world and culture around us. It can be seen in television shows especially in programming for children. Today on the Disney channel one of the shows was on dating the kids where about 13 or 14. My 7 year old niece was watching it. Gone are the days of Father Knows Best or even the corniness of the Brady Bunch.
In the movie there was a 30 something man who owned a dog which the little boy (the lead character in the movie) walked daily. No big deal right? The only thing wrong with this was that in many later scenes the man was seen living in his home with another man. They were always together exactly like the other married couples in the movie. You would see them cleaning the pool, going to work, or decorating their home. I thought I was seeing things, until I asked my wife if she picked up the same thing. She said yes, and along with my sister she could not understand why this was needed in a childrens movie.
Is nothing scared anymore? Are we that far gone as a culture that even in a movie which we take our children we continuously have to be bombarded by images and messages that homosexuality is a normal and accepted lifestyle? I just thought the showing of this homosexual couple was a very subversive trick to get kids on board with a liberal mindset at a very early age. I want to take the kids to see an innocent movie about dogs who talk not a movie about how OK homosexual marriage is.

I don't know about this...I am pretty conservative, and I did not see it as a pro-homosexual agenda...I (honestly) didn't see the two men as gay. Now there was a remark made (regarding the bully) about 'not having balls' that I thought was a little much for a kiddie movie, but that was my only complaint. It was a cute movie. Nothing more, nothing less in my estimation...so cute infact my nine year did not want to go...so I went with my dog crazy, animal loving six year son, and he loved it!!! Of course our dog looks like Hubble...but she is waaay to smart to work for Hollywood scale...she prefers KibbleNBits...

Sinkspur is so morally vacant that he ranted at great length and with great hostility in favor of Kobe Bryant and accusing the alleged rape victim, all without knowing the facts, from the comfort (and complete ignorance) of whatever room houses his computer I think he needs to re-think his post here but I left that thread yesterday because it was so ugly. Interestingly, IMO , he was one of the few that was NOT doing what what you posted.

You're wrong. The leftist Hollywood establishment uses every opportunity to sway, brainwash, persuade. That means, gratuitous insertion of homosexual couples in "mainstream" settings. They're plugged right into storylines for absolutely no other reason than to make us accept them as normal. You may have noticed the very many black "experts" in movies, also. Whenver people are in a jam, a black person walks into the room and, cool as can be, presents the solution. I actually saw a television movie where a "Swedish expert" on high technology was intro'd...and in walks a black woman!
How do I know this? I work in the business. I've been to the meetings. There's a childish, giggly rush that goes on when people in power get to stick in a black this or that, a homosexual couple, an interracial couple--they think they're getting over on the rubes out in flyover country, AND they think they're making the world a better place.
I once wrote a docudrama where the REAL-LIFE criminal, who was black, was changed to a white guy, because we wouldn't want to make black people look like criminals, would we?

"Hint: some people have room-mates that are just that, room-mates. It's especially common in Cities.
Duh. . ."
It wasn't set in a city. They were presented as a "normal" COUPLE, not roommates. Go see the movie.

If you can demonstrate it's relevance to this thread, I'll answer it. As I previously hinted at, it's rather apparent your opinion of homosexuality is relevant to this thread, as evidenced in your attempt to dilute mandingo republican's concerns in post 6. And again, you called nathanbedford "a nut" for expressing similar concerns in post 51.
Your comment to demkicker in post 94.
That's enough of a demonstration. If you still don't want to answer whether or not you think folks are born gay, don't. But please, stop trying to hide behind your obfuscation.

Isn't it odd how the "Sodomy is normal" crowd struggles to convince people it is normal? Now, seriously! What normal thing needs a crowd of screamers to convince everyone that it's normal?
The fact is that it is sick, destructive and unhealthy, not to mention a biological malfunction.
And don't tell me I'm a homophobe. I'm not afraid of the queers. I hate them. I'm a proud homoloathe!

That's why I have given up dealing with him. He's in this for his annoyance value--I imagine it makes him feel important, the more people that respond to him. He's one sick sick puppy--don't waste your time.

An excellent movie review website is
Kid's in mind dot com. They give you accurate counts of f words and other sorts of things. Here is their review of "Good Boy"
Good Boy!
MPAA Rating: PG
A boy who's running a neighborhood dog-walking service, happens upon a dog that appears mean. However, after befriending the dog he realizes that his new canine friend is actually an alien agent who's on Earth to gather information which will lead to an invasion from a distant planet. Realizing that all dogs are aliens who decided to stay and become the best friends to humanity, the boy must somehow save them from being shipped back to their home world. With Liam Aiken, Matthew Broderick, Megan Mullally, Brittany Murphy and Kevin Nealon. Directed by John Hoffman. (1:28)
SEX/NUDITY 0 - A boy and a girl hug.
VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A boy throws stones at a dog. Two boys shove a boy and a girl to the ground and threaten to hit them, and several dogs surround them and snarl aggressively. Two boys tease a boy, and two boys tease a dog. A dog snarls and barks aggressively at other dogs, people, a fire hydrant and a statue of a cat. Dogs chase two boys through streets. A man talks about a dog being euthanized. A boy follows a dog through very dark woods. A dog flies through the sky and crash-lands in a pond, other dogs jump from high places (a window ledge, the back of a chair) trying to fly but just manage to fall hard to the floor. A spacecraft crashes into the ground and smolders -- its passengers appear uninjured. A flash travels across the sky and we hear a loud noise (later we see a crashed spaceship). We see a dog trapped by an animal control person and later see many dogs in cages at the dog pound. People grieve when their dogs disappear. Two boys kidnap a dog and take him to a barbershop threatening to give him a haircut. A dog urinates on a tree, a boy picks up a dog's feces, and a dog flatulates loudly in several scenes. There are many scatological jokes regarding bowel movements, anatomy and flatulence and dogs. A boy comes out of the bathroom after flushing the toilet and a dog says, "I drink out of that bowl."
PROFANITY 3 - 4 mild scatological terms, 5 mild anatomical terms, 2 mild obscenities.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Friendship, dreams, companionship, goals, dog/human relationships, control, dominance, loyalty, homosexuality, relocation, being homesick, dignity, understanding each other.
MESSAGE - Home isn't where you are, it's who you're with.
