LULING, Texas (AP) - A car struck a group of high school cross country runners who had gathered to pray on the side of a highway, killing one and injuring at least three others, police said.
The accident happened early Saturday as the 10 Luling High School students were about to embark on their morning two-mile run, the Austin American-Statesman reported in its Sunday editions.

So sad... I suppose if you've heard about this one, that you're in Cen-Tex and heard about the one a week ago where 4 Hays High students and a 2002 grad were killed? Well, I knew the 2002 grad and just want to say that northern Hays County weeps with Luling.

The driver has not been charged, police said. Why should the driver be charged when it was the car that struck the students?
Stupid headline writers.

"Why should the driver be charged when it was the car that struck the students?"I believe the CAR is only charged when it's an SUV.

This is bunk. I have seen 3 or for threads of the story with different titles. If a title is different how is someone supposed to know the article already was posted.

Why were they praying on the side of the road ? Too dangerous, as they unfortunately found out.

Must not have been an SUV, or that would have been the first thing we read.
