Am I missing something in Minnesota?
Fox News ^ | 11/6/02 | Mondull (via Fox News)

The old fossil was just on Fox News practically declaring victory...saying that with 8% of the precincts in "they were the most wonderful precincts" or some such thing.

I've been watching CNN and FoxNew's web site, and the senile old twit has never been even close to ahead.

Can a Minnesotan clue me in?

That's DFL speak for "The Iron Range let us down, and we aren't going to win".

The days are gone when the Range dictated how this state leans politically. I think Fritzy the turtle took the urban vote for granted and never even paid attention to outstate MN, except for the range. I heard some blabbler on CBS say that "the Mondale camp was encouraged because Ramsey County votes weren't in". Um, guys? Norm Coleman was the *mayor* of St. Paul which is smack dab in the middle of Ramsey County! Then several minutes after 3am CST, I *swear* I heard CBS call the race for Norm.

I am confident Norm will prevail!

My wife woke me up just so I wouldn't miss it. The old fossil was actually quite gracious.

Was that his daughter to his right? The one that Bill Clinton had his way with?

He didn't want to be the minority-party junior senator from MN.
