“We did talk about the Epstein files and he was extremely angry at me that I signed the discharge petition to release the files,” Greene told CBS News in a “60 Minutes” interview that is set to air on Sunday. “I fully believe those women deserve everything they’re asking. They’re asking for it to come out. They deserve it.”
“He was furious with me. He said it was going to hurt people,” she added, referencing the president’s comments about the release of the files.
Trump originally indicated during his presidential campaign that he supported releasing the Epstein files, but reversed his stance after entering office.
He originally directed House Republicans to not sign on to a discharge petition forcing a House vote on the files, but several Republicans — including Greene and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) — broke from the party to add their signatures.
As Trump faced the possibility of more Republicans voting for the files’ release, he once again reversed course and directed House GOP members to support a bill directing the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release all its files related to Epstein.
Trump’s relationship with Greene has soured considerably over the course of the last year as the Georgia Republican has increasingly criticized the administration.
Her calls for the Epstein files’ release when the president was opposed to it and her pushback against Trump’s messaging about the economy has sparked animosity between the two politicians.
Trump called Greene’s resignation, which came a week after he pulled support for her, “great news for the country.” Greene has also faced criticism from fellow House Republicans, who have most recently taken aim at her for missing all House votes this week after her sudden resignation announcement.

I’m afraid they will get some girl’s identity that they will use to scare her into cooperating in a hoax. If she does not cooperate, they will expose her in some other very serious activities. What they will want is for her to lie about seeing Trump going into a room with an under-age girl for sex. That girl will also be blackmailed into saying she took Trump into that room for sex. This Epstein files revelation is part of a set-up.
What worked for E Jean Carroll they will try to work here.
She’s nothing but a drama queen. The only reason CBS had her on 60 Minutes was so she could bad mouth President Trump. Before she turned into a bigger political whore than she already was, the media wasn’t interested in what she had to say.
I read that people were falsely accused or misidentified in some instances.

When the Epstein files ever get released it will be from the grand jury hearing transcripts that MTG had no interest in, yet they contain the truth
Anyone who thinks they contain secrets re Trump or anyone in his circle will be disappointed. If Hillary didn’t find them and use them they do not exist. Period. And it is not in trumps MO to associate with sleaze ags like Epstein plus he told us he disassociated from him.

My gut says MTG found out that some of these “victims” were liars and she wanted out...after backing them. We’ll see.
Seat empty for a time while a special election is held. She should be shunned.
