Even before Tuesday’s elections, many progressives insisted the question of whether protecting abortion rights wins elections was already asked and answered. Democrats made abortion rights the centerpiece of their campaign advertising during the 2022 midterms, a cycle where Democrats outperformed expectations, kept control of the US Senate, and staved off a red wave. Polls last year also found abortion rights to be a significantly motivating issue for both independent and Democratic voters.
Abortion rights ballot measures won in all six states where they appeared in 2022, including states like Montana, Kentucky, and Kansas that otherwise elected Republican candidates.

Right or Wrong, it’s a loser politically. Most women are single issue voters on this.

But why sugarcoat election fraud?

This article has it all wrong. I wish it weren’t so, but the pro aborts won this week in Kentucky and Ohio.

All that getting rid of Roe v Wade should have been about was simply transferring abortion back to the states themselves. Instead, we get clowns like Graham and others calling for nationwide bans.

To go through life, or even a few minutes, pretending to be something you’re not is to claim lowlife status.
Starting with election cheaters.

Ellen Goodman explained it decades ago. We want abortion in only four situations: rape, incest, saving the life of the mother, and when I need one. Republicans will lose this issue until they bleat like Democrats, or the Spirit of God breaks through to the hearts of mothers.

Until we get rid of election fraud there's no point in trying to figure out how to win over votes.
And by the way, there was a time when the Dims said that slavery was popular too.

The real issue is, this is an issue for the individual states, not the Federal Govt. RoeV/Wade was always bad law.

Reagan, Bush, Bush and Trump all won on a pro-life campaign.
Until society returns to valuing human life (other than their own), it’s not a campaign issue anymore as Roe was reversed.

The issue with women voters is they don't want to be told to carry a child when they don't want to. The right can scream all they want about how this is morally reprehensible, but a vast majority of women are in this category. Doesn't mean they think abortion is a good idea. They just don't want the option unavailable if they really want one. And this position is not exclusive to liberal women. A good number of independent and suburban women also side with this argument.
One thing seems certain. Abortion on the ballot is generally the GOP's election kryptonite.
