I’ve been too busy to keep up with local politics lately. Yeah, I know. I welcome your advice on the upcoming primary.
I would really appreciate some thoughtful criticism of the particular candidates.
Thanks!
-Jeff
Did you see this article I posted earlier today. There’s a list of people that really upsets the author. So vote for any of those people you can, haha
https://news.yahoo.com/could-arizona-legislature-more-conservative-130820760.html
Also, Lake for governor, Masters for US Senate, Finchem for Sec of State, Hamedeh for Attorney General
I’ll have look. Thanks!
-J
My choices:
Governor: Kari Lake
Senate: Blake Masters
Secretary of State: Mark fincem
Attorney General: Abraham Hamadeh
CD-2: Walt Blackman (bucking Trump on this one)
LD-1 Representatives: Quang Nguyen, Selena Bliss
LD-1 Senate: Steve Zipperman
Ping.
I agree!
My husband and I both voted Kari Lake for governor, Masters for Senator, Abadeh for AG, Finchem for SOS, Gosar for Congress. And we live in a Robson community. Not too many governor signs here in PC - my guess is people are afraid to put out governor signs for Kari because they worry about any repercussions since this is a Robson community. Also, many people here are very new to Arizona and think Karrin Robson is Ed Robson’s daughter - they are shocked to find out she is the new wife of just four years or so!
Good list. This is the one I’m going with, which reflects a different area of the state:
Governor: Kari Lake
Secretary of State: Mark Finchem
AZ Attorney General: Abraham Hamadeh
AZ Treasurer: Jeff Wininger
AZ Superintendent of Public instruction: Shirley Sapir
Congressional District 6: Kathleen Winn
AZ Congressional District 2: either Eli or Mark
District 16 Representatives: Teresa Martinez and Rob Hudelson
School board: Stephen Hays, Stephen Hunt for high school and Teresa “Dindy” Martinez, Daniel Brown, and Ronald Gilbert for elementary
I did the same except for my local reps in Scottsdale.
Big question was Schweikert vs Norton.
Couldn’t get enough warm info on Norton so went Schweikert.
I agree with your choices.
Help me with Masters v Lamon for Senate
and Glassman v Abedah for AG
i’m not convinced on either
Kim Owens could be important for Corporation Commissioner
Thank you.
Giving reasons is more useful than a report on how you voted.
I’m in CD2:
Governor: Kari Lake
Senate: Lamon
SOS: Shawanna Bolick
Attorney General: Lacy Cooper
CD2: John Moore
LD1 Reps: Quang and Selina Bliss
State Senate: Ken Bennett
Superintendent of Public Instruction: Shiry Sapir Hard choice. Tom Horne has a lot of experience.
Looking for guidance on state treasurer. Lettieri, Weninger or Yee? We’re District 7. Voice of Nina Becker or Luis Pozzolo.
Also need corporation commissioner. Vote for 2. Myers, Owens, and Thompson.
Thanks to poster who suggested Tom Horne for superintendent.
Later.
Pinal County Resident:
Governor: Kari Lake
Senator: Blake Masters
SOS: Shawnna Bolick (will vote for Finchem in General)
Attorney General: Abe Hamedeh
Supe of Instruction: Shiry Sapir
Corporation Commission: Nick Myers, Kevin Thompson
Rep: Juan Ciscomani
State Reps: Anna Orth, Kirk Fiehler, Vince Leach
I live in a Robson community as well. Karrin could not be more off-putting when she spoke to our Republican Club here. She’s a Jeff Flake/John McCain “conservative”.
As best I can judge, Yee has been very responsible, non-political, with no one questioning her job performance, so I’m sticking with her.
Make sure Owens gets one of your Corp Commission votes. She’s afraid of what California has done with energy. She’ll not support renewables.
Why Masters over McGuire for US Senate?
McGuire articulates (in writing) his positions on the 2nd, the border, and the Constitution very well.
