He was a democrat who last voted democrat in 1948 and was campaigning for the GOP in 1952 and after, hardly a modern liberal, Reagan left the democrat party long before Texas etc.

Trump supported Carter against Reagan and did not register to vote until 1987 and then became a democrat in 1999.

Reagan was a Godsend to conservatism and America and he fought his battles before FOX and Rush, and talk radio and internet communication and when the left had owned the Congress for decades.

It was 2001 when Trump became a democrat, 1999 he switched to
the Independence Party.

I remember Reagan standing tot-to-toe in the most important brawl with the evil empire and breaking its back...

Actually our money broke the back of Communist USSR, but communism was still alive and well in several countries.

But we cannot downplay the fact that, Gorbachev gave him a lot of help as well. First with the nuclear arms reduction treaty, and then with Perestroika, in which he expanded upon the need for political and economic restructuring in the USSR, followed by Glasnost which called for a new era of transparency and openness.

I do not remember my hero DJT (who I still financially support monthly) with standing toe-to-toe with the American communists and breaking their backs...

He just might have, had the GOPe given him some backing, instead of fighting him just as hard as the Democrat communists, and some might even say they fought him even harder. To this day they consistently assist the Democrats in unfathomable ways. But I will address this further on, as you provided another item that is more suitable to respond more fully on this topic

I remember Reagan rebuilding our military might in spite of the American communists battling him as they controlled congress...

Actually, he made a Faustian deal with them, by agreeing to allow them to spend more on social issues, in order to get his military budgets that he wanted.

I do not remember DJT rebuilding the military even with GOP control of congress..

He had tasked that to Defense Secretary Gen Mattis, and got an increase in 2018 of $54 billion for the Defense Department. So, blame whatever shortcoming you see there on the POS Gen. Mattis.

I remember Reagan precisely warning us that the American communists would lead us into 1000 years of darkest tyranny...

Well, he was talking about communists taking over from outside the country. At that point in time the enemy within, the Democrat Party, were still hiding their tyrannical communist ambitions, only it was on a much grander scale, as their true ambitions were towards a One World Government.

I do not remember DJT ever mentioning this approaching (now in place) tyranny...

He talked about it constantly, and even identified the press as the driving force behind the Democrat Party and the drive towards tyranny. But then again, the GOPe fought him on this as well, because they too were now a party to that tyranny. They even offered up assistance to the Democrat Party to steal an election. So I guess your memory is a little bit on the foggy side.

I remember Reagan firing all the political AGs mostly funded by Soros et al...

Well, the only Attorney General he could have fired, actually resigned as all outgoing AGs do when the president appoints his AG and that appointment is approved by Congress. I think you must be thinking of all the IGs (Inspector Generals) which he did indeed fire them. However, he backed off and ultimately allowed many of them to continue in office.

I do not remember DJT firing any AGs (which has led to the stolen elections we are now doomed to endure)

Again, you must mean IGs, as Sessions replaced Eric Holder. Trump. In April and May of 2020, United States President Donald Trump dismissed the inspectors general (IGs) of five cabinet departments in the space of six weeks. The inspectors general removed were Michael K. Atkinson, Intelligence, on April 3; Glenn Fine (acting), Defense, April 7; Christi Grimm (acting), Health and Human Services, May 1; Mitch Behm (acting), Transportation, May 15; and Steve Linick, State, May 15.

I remember Reagan making bureaucracy appointments of those who would support his philosophies...

You're are mixing two different terms that should not be used together.. A bureaucrat is a government employee, an appointee is a person appointed by the president and confirmed by Congress. Reagan was more connected politically. While the GOPe did not care for Reagan, their disdain for him was far less than their disdain for Trump. Nonetheless, he still had political appointees that disagreed with him, however, they were not going to go against him, because there was still respect for the Office of the President. Especially when he defeated Carter by 440 electoral college votes, and also defeated him by 8+ million in the popular vote as well. He beat that in 1984 by capturing all but 13 electoral votes from Wisc. that went to Mondale, and won the popular vote by 17 million votes.

I do not remember DJT doing a good job making bureaucracy appointments of those who would support his philosophies...

Again, he was being thwarted at every turn, in fact his own choice for VP was a POS, and the GOPe, extremely upset that he won were out to do him as much harm as the Democrats were. So, I think you are being somewhat disingenuous by even mentioning this item as an argument.

Now, do not get me wrong, I absolutely loved President Reagan. In fact, he was the first election I felt compelled to actually participate in. Before that I hated politics. 🙂
