Kevin McCarthy has Effectively Resigned as House Minority Leader
Free Republic ^ | July 27, 2021 | wildcard_redneck

It is time to acknowledge and ugly truth. Kevin McCarthy has effectively resigned his position as Republican House Minority Leader. by allowing Nancy Pelosi to usurp his power to seat Republicans representatives on House committees. McCarthy should try to retain some dignity and resign as House Minority Leader and make way for someone that will fight for Americans like Rep. Jim Jordan.

If GOP representatives are accepting appointments from Democrat Nancy Pelosi instead of Kevin McCarthy then McCarthy has demonstrably lost control of the Republicans in the House and he must resign. Kevin McCarthy has surrendered to Nancy Pelosi and, if the Republican party does not want to surrender to Nancy Pelosi as well, the it can no longer be led by McCarthy.

It is a sad spectacle to watch a full grown man in the prime of his life being publicly humiliated over and over again by an 80 year old woman. Kevin McCarthy has been castrated as a leader and he does not seem to mind all that much. How could a man with such a strong jaw have such a weak spine? Kevin McCarthy is so submissive to Nancy that him wearing a gimp suit and a ball-gag in the House chambers would be appropriate.

If Kevin McCarthy does not find the courage to resign with some dignity then California Republicans must vote him out in the 2022 Republican primaries. If Kevin McCarthy manages to win his primary election then Republican voters need to remove this loser from his House Minority Leader position by voting for his Democrat opponent.

Kevin McCarthy works for Nancy Pelosi now and we can do better.

How about we voters actually WORK to put Republicans in the majority next year.

We did that in 2017. Then the GOP allowed the Dems to make the rules (again) for us to play by. We always play by their rules and they always win, even when the GOP is in the majority. If the GOP had backed the president we elected, rather than spending their time undermining him (and us) they would still be in the majority.

The losses in 2020 were not Donald Trump's fault or the voters. We did our job. It was the fault of the GOP who helped the Dems cheat and are helping them still today (see Cheney et al).

2022 will resign a bunch of republicans as well as any hope of having a majority ever again.

Elections won't spare half of America from the globalist horror that is unfolding.

Jane you ignorant slut!

It's not his fault that there are Republicans that were voted into office that are NOT real Republicans. He and the Republican party need to make sure that these two turncoats are not reelected. In addition, in my humble opinion, he needs to start nominating the most strident Trump supporters to positions on this commission! Lets see how many she will veto! That will cement the kangaroo aspect of this commission.

I think President Trump made a mistake in not getting rid of any personnel nominated by previous presidents.

He is an outsider and that’s why we love him.

Just to compare...what do you think if one of Trump’s adult children had done anything remotely anything like Hunter Biden...well, you get the picture.

Balls for what? Asking relevant questions? What ballsy questions would he ask that another sound Republican couldn’t?

Dry your tears. How would that be any different than when Republicans have the majority only to surrender anyway? even if it ended up just the same as now we would have the satisfaction of denying the lying, weak, and faithless GOP leadership the fantastic, wealthy lifestyle that holding national public office provides these grifters.“.

Got that right. I will vote in Texas elections only. I don’t give a crap who controls the house and senate.

Some Freepers would defend the useless GOP leadership until the end of time. This defense of the powers-that-be can be attributed to stupidity, cowardice, or greed.

On another topic, if I thought that shouted out to me with "Jane, you ignorant slut!" I would have felt compelled to reply with the following:

One thing is clear: Kevin McCarthy does not deserve or has earned the right to serve as Speaker.

Well...not to defend his...exemplary (cough) leadership, but that wasn't really a question of "allowing" - she had the power to do it...and did. His hands on that were tied.

I find your comment confusing. You say that you are only interested in Texas! then why the hell are you on a national forum commenting on my post about Kevin McCarthy? You should be commenting on a forum dedicated to Texans like you. Maybe there is a forum dedicated to all-hat-no-cattle you could plague.

Give little George P. Bush a hug from me when you see him. President Trump has hurt his feelings and he needs some cheering up.

Right after the coup on Selection Night when RINO House members started attacking President Trump and Republican voters the useless Kevin McCarthy could have shut it down immediately before it gained too much traction. But no, Kevin McCarthy permitted and encouraged these turncoats, stood at the podium with them. Now that Cheney and Kinzinger have planted their knives in his foolish back while Pelosi was politically raping him on the national stage there might be a shred of manhood left in him to do what is necessary but I doubt it - McCarthy is a useless, broken tool.

Yep, and there are still those here that we can just outmaneuver them politically, with our preferred candidates. I get that this site attracts political junkies, of which I am not, but come on.

President Trump had both houses...they refused to get rid of fubocare..

The blame for that one falls squarely on the shoulders of John McCain.

He knew he was dying, and that was his goodbye gift to President Trump.
