The Republican Party Killed Itself
American Thinker ^ | 01/14/2021 | J.B. Shurk

The Republican Party killed itself. The particular poison it swallowed is the hatred it harbors for its own voters. Sooner or later, all that hatred was going to burn it up. When Republican lawmakers turned their backs on Republican voters protesting for free and fair elections and endorsed election fraud by ignoring it, they blew up any remaining illusion that the Red-Blue divide in D.C. is real.

Republican voters struggled for over a decade to give the Republican Party all the power it needed to fight for the Constitution and American liberty and against the quickening assault of totalitarian state control. Republican voters repeatedly urged Republican lawmakers to stomp out Big Tech's censorship and strangling of free speech before it was too late. Republicans in office have done nothing.

When voters turn a blind eye to their suspicions that only a UniParty exists in D.C., actively support Republican lawmakers, and find themselves inevitably betrayed by those same lawmakers nonetheless, the sting is particularly fierce. From the point of view of a Trump-supporter, the Republican Party has wasted a tremendous opportunity. The "stupid party" looks as if it's achieved peak stupidity. But from the point of view of D.C. Republicans who have worked to thwart President Trump's agenda for four years, it is a certainty that the only stupid Republicans they see are their own voters.

It didn't have to be this way. Republicans in Washington could right now be in the majority with a strong president in the White House. Instead, they spent years using Trump-supporters when their votes were needed and giving little in return. It was a betrayal that leaves deep scars.

Wouldn’t say it killed itself but it did suffer some self inflicted serious wounds. Nevertheless it remains the best political vehicle for grassroots, decent people to seize for themselves, make it to their liking , reform it and fight and ultimately destroy the globalist Left. That reform begins with the purge and political destruction of the ten, vile Republican traitors that voted to impeach Trump and any Republican Senator that expresses similar propensities.

We even deregistered to vote. Not going to continue playing the game where the GOP doesn’t represents us and the voting is rigged. Not going to legitimize that system.

I wonder why Dan Crenshaw didn’t vote to impeach. He was vocally critical of Trump at the House.

“The GOP is dead to me. I can only speak for me.”

Same here. I have already changed my party affiliation with the Board Of Elections.

They ignored the concerns of their voters from 1989 on. The first Bush administration promised a New World Order. Didn’t take a tinfoil hat to see the globalist intent there. They followed up the Cold War by failing to stop out Communism, preferring instead to direct all energy into capital gains tax cuts and wars in the Middle East. Trump was a shock to them. They learned nothing from the Buchanan and Perot candidacies.

No giving from the government. They TAKE. They are parasites and they subtract value from society.

I can count the good guys in Congress on my fingers and have some left over.

Does anyone vote for Republican candidates because they genuinely like the Republican Party oligarchs and support all their works?
Or do most vote for what looks like the least horrible option, hoping that communism will come slower (and maybe we can outlive it)?

Trump was supported precisely because he was in opposition to both wings of the uniparty.

Next, does anyone vote Democrat because they actually want socialism and an end to freedom? Yes. They think government gives them things (your things), they feel inadequate to run their own lives, and they like being told they are virtuous because of it.

That presents a determinism gap. We despise “our” party; they love theirs.

Rob McKenna, former Republican Attorney General of Washington State, came out on the Jason Rantz show last night in support of Impeachment, siding with 100% of Democrats and 5% of Republicans in the House.

These are our Republican Party Leaders.

A pox on the MoFos.

Won’t ever vote for another Republican and will actively belittle and mock any “Conservative” that tells me that sometimes we have to hold our noses and pick the lesser of two evils.

Defeatist and wrong, self-defeating and wrong, and possibly an attempt to intentionally further demoralize people.

THE PARTY is not the GOP elite, the GOP office holders, the GOP “officials”.

The mere election of Trump in 2016 showed that.

THE PARTY is the millions of party members.

75 million of those party members re-elected Trump in 2020.

WE the real GOP is not going away.

We will lift up those GOP office holders who we know are good and faitful to is. We are NOT going to through out the baby - the party - with the bathwater (those who need to be primaried out of the party).

This is a 1964 and 1980 moment - a time to not retreat but double down on what we know is right.

Retreating will only embolden and re-enforce the Democrats lies about Trump which they are not using as a target against Trump at all, but as a target against you. It is your retreat the Democrats seek, and this stupid author is taking a different approach to tell you the same thing - in error - retreat.

NO!!! NO!!! NO!!!

We must now take off all the gloves and all the blinders.

WE are the RESISTANCE.

Retreat is death. We cannot retreat.
