What Republican candidates do NOT want President Trump's support in this year's election? (vanity)
my brain | 9/11/2020 | self

Have been told by liberal relative that not many Republican candidates want the President's support this year.

She mentioned Susan Collins and Corey Gardner.

Any helpers out there?

Susan Collins and Corey Gardner are not Republicans. They are RINOs at best. I hope they lose.

I agree and that’s what I told my relative.

I also said that from what I can tell from the President’s rallies and from the RNC convention, the Republican candidates YEARN to have this President’s support.

But I don’t have specific names.

No need to refute it.

Can't say I blame them. Any GOP Senator in a state that Trump lost in 2016 -- and is likely to lose in 2020 -- has to be smart about managing their own campaign.

There's a Democrat dude in Minnesota representing a House district that Trump won by 35 points in 2016. Do you think he's going to be inviting Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi to campaign for him?

There's a reason why he was one of only two House Democrats to vote AGAINST Trump's impeachment.

I hope they don’t lose. We need to retain control of the Senate. Maybe we can flip a few seats with CONSERVATIVE Republicans and Trump can get even more done for our beloved country.

“Any GOP Senator in a state that Trump lost in 2016 — and is likely to lose in 2020 — has to be smart about managing their own campaign.”

Correct. I hope Collins wins in Maine and Gardner in CO. If they can win by distancing themselves from President Trump, let them do that and then vote R on most bills for the next 6 years.

Trump probably has more support than he thinks in Colorado and Maine. Collins and Gardner need all the help they can get. Negative support will never win you anything, but if they support Trump they might get more votes than they think. I hope that you are not basing your assumptions on the polls, because they are all absolutely wrong. Few Conservatives will acknowledge that to strangers, especially someone calling on a phone.

John James and Elise Stefanik
are two which come to mind (right off the bat). Hold on as there will be others.

I hope that you are not basing your assumptions on the polls, because they are all absolutely wrong.

I am basing my assumptions on the 2016 election results ... which I hope are "correct" because that election was four years ago. LOL.

I'm also basing it on what looks to be a complete concession by the Trump campaign in Colorado and most of Maine. I have not even seen a hint of a rally or campaign appearance by anyone associated with Trump in either state.

If you have any evidence that Donald Trump is more popular in Colorado and Maine today than he was when he lost those two states in 2016, I'd like to see it.

If you refute this liberal lie there will just be another and another and another.

I think I would ask her if she got her information for this the same place she got her information about the Russian Collusion Delusion and just how many times on how many days she told that lie.

From that big bald faced lie alone that lasted for more than two years democrats/liberals/socialists/communists, (they are all the same), are labeled as serial bald faced lies for the rest of their lives.

Other than voting for Kavanaugh, I can’t think of one thing right that RINO Collins has done as a Republican.

She may have voted to acquit POTUS, but she said so many bad things about DJT, she sounded no different than that stupid B*tch Maizie Hirano or the EVIL SKANKA Harris.

Collins never fails to say nasty critical things about POTUS, she’s a female version of Pierre Delecto. SPIT.

You are right - one lie right after another is what she believes - because she listens exclusively to the FAKE NEWS MEDIA.

In the past, we have totally avoided “discussing” the situation in the country.

But she went beserk over the Bob Woodward tapes. She brought that up. We have gone from one subject to another since then. I just want to be able to refute what she claims and FR is a great resource for this. THANKS.

Yep = Collins makes me nauseated....but she has voted correctly in those two cases (Kavanaugh and the impeachment).

So she is a definite Democrat Target this year.

I’m sure Collins and Gardner don’t want his support. Both are in blue states and/or aren’t conservative. But, any Republican in a red state wants his support.

Collins was likely the difference between Kavanaugh and not-Kavanaugh. If she came from some place that is expected to us better (e.g. Alabama) I would agree with you, but unless LePage would run for the seat, I don't see it.
