Shortly before Joe Biden announced that his vice presidential pick was Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), a group of Democratic women released a letter, telling news organizations and journalists to avoid “racist” and “sexist” coverage of the candidate, among other things.
Yet, the media broke most of those rules in reporting on John McCain’s vice-presidential pick Sarah Palin in 2008, writes NewsBusters’ Tim Graham.
The recent letter urged the media to steer clear of “sexism” and “racism,” and to avoid commenting on Harris’ “ambition,” her relationship with staffers, her “tone of voice,” the way she dresses, and whether the California Democrat is “likable” or electable.
How the media treated Palin: Many news organizations pointed out that Palin had recently become a mother, that her child was born with Down Syndrome, and questioned her ability to devote herself to serve the country, Graham pointed out. He listed several examples of those comments.

The Commie media hated Sarah Palin because she was a Conservative woman..therefore in their minds she was not a real woman..they hated on her from day 1, calling her every disgusting name in the book..accusing her son Trig of not being her son..going after her family, it was not about sexism, it was about what it is always about, Conservatives have and always will be portrayed as “Idiots, dummies” etc..its been like that for 50 yrs
